Added some graphics to my Rebel’s hood. Also figured it’s a good time to show my “vinyl installation process” for those interested. I’ve perfected this method over several past failed projects. This works for me and causes the least amount of rage quitting during vinyl installs, hope this helps...
Replaced my Nitto Recon Grapplers with some Toyo Open Country AT3’s. Recons we’re pretty bad in cold weather (even dry) and light snow (even though they aren’t snow rated, I expected a tad better performance).
Crossing my fingers these AT3’s do great! Now time to clean all this tire shine they...
Changed up the ride a bit on my Rebel and threw some Bilstein 6112/5160’s on the truck now that they are in stock. Lowered my truck a tad from my coilovers but the improvement in low speed ride quality was appreciated!
Threw the AVS aerocab on my truck this weekend. Still on the fence about it. I like how it looks but wasn’t too impressed with the provided weather stripping for running the wire. I get some whistling between 40-50 mph but turning the radio up is enough to drown it out. Anyways, didn’t see much...
Having installed the paragoptics ambient kit in my truck, this project was a cake walk. It’s really not bad at all.
With the sequential they’ll operate the same way, on when the trucks on the ON/OFF with turn signals. Every time the sequential turns on, you’ll get that sequential effect.
Test fit my friend’s Dark Dune rear light bracket on my truck. Kind of jealous, the build quality is awesome. I have a different rear lighting solution showing up soon but the DD bracket is pretty awesome.
Just a quick video as there isn’t much on the inter webs as far as installation...
I know in hindsight should’ve went with that, I but I wanted green on passenger side so the cars don’t see the red light in their side mirror and think I’m a cop at a quick glance. Just trying to spread some holiday spirit around here!
Finished up my new steering wheel install. Overall very straight forward once you get the air bag out of the way (CAREFULLY). Here's a walk through showing how to remove the air bag, steering wheel, and swap over the controls. I also show the pinout guides for the heating controls. This is...
NM, I found them here: Mopar Connection Repair Kit
Here the white connector (looks like these are the power and ground equivalents):
And here is the black connector (control wires):
My new steering wheel is finally in route after several months of waiting!!! The new wheel comes with 4 wires for the heating element, a positive, a negative, and two control wires according to the manufacturer. My factory Rebel wheel has heating so all the wiring is there.
In all the videos...
Threw some Rough Country caliper covers on. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I felt the factory brakes were more than enough for my application and all it needed was some color.
Super happy with the overall look.
