The biggest reason why people say and think that is because people put way too much air in them. I have owned a couple Ram 2500’s and if I aired up the tires to what the tires say and in some cases what Ram says on the door jam the ride would absolutely suck. But aired up to the proper pressure...
They are your tires, do as you wish.I had the exact tires in question for a very short period and I would NOT air them down to 25-26 psi Offroad unless you want to lose a sidewall. The sidewallls are very thin! But good luck either way.
Ride quality difference will be negligent as long as you don’t air them up too much. About 45 psi in the front and 40 in the rear and they will be smooth as can be. Since you aren’t going up in height the most you might lose is 1- 1.5 mpg but that is debateable.
P rated if you don’t tow or haul anything heavy and you mostly drive on paved roads. If you tow a travel trailer, haul something heavy in the bed and drive Offroad for recreation or work LT is the only way to go. Every single half ton truck I’ve owned has got LT tires put on almost immediately...
The stock tires are going to be the biggest handicap. They aren’t made for deep snow, they are made for highway use. A set of chains on the back would make a world of difference. But if you plan to drive in deep snow I would seriously look at better tires.
FWIW I love my truck and I can live with the hack with no issues. But I don’t let companies off the hook when they make a crap flawed features or products. I bought one of the new Tundras in 2007 when they first came out. I then proceeded to do something I had done with every truck I’ve owned...
They arent going to fix this on our trucks, they might fix it in next years models but after owning a 2019 and 2020 and my buddy owning a 2019 and a 2020 and seeing zero performance upgrade in the deficient AC I believe the hack is our fix.
Consumer reports is so not worth paying any attention to. You have to pay to be a member to then contribute. Its such a small sample of whats really going on with anything!
Thats why I always laugh when certain members on here try to come up with some technical explanation about using auto, and the dual zone blah blah blah to excuse the fact that the AC in these trucks sucks! I’ve owned more new trucks than I can count and have lived in much hotter places than I...
If you haven’t reset your fuel economy average on the screen it’s going to stay low after a trip towing and getting low fuel economy. Have you reset it since you got back?
All the way down! I personally opted to install a valve but the clamps work. IME if flow of hot coolant is not completely stopped It defeats the purpose because of the design flaw in the blend doors. It would be interesting to have a guy like you update what your temps are after clamping.
That’s exactly what I was doing so at least I’d have radio and hands free or Bluetooth. The problem is when it powers up on Sirius it will not load and freezes up. You might try disconnecting the battery like I did, mine reset and everything works normal now.
With all due respect I have to disagree, in most cases its perspective from those that claim they think theyre AC works pretty good. Confirmed AC temps that hover at or over 50 degrees is not by all industry standards acceptable or considered a properly functioning system. And all new vehicles...
