Yes... some trucks have the brace and some do not. One member here had a brace fabricated and added a strap. Perhaps they did away with it on later models... but I have not researched it or asked the right people that would know.
The main question I have is will the two straps be enough, why...
Totally agree. When I was looking I had ZERO idea that there was anything less than a 26 gallon. I knew I wasn't getting the 33, but felt like I could live with the 26. Then when I learned I only had 23, I cringed and started pouting. That really made me want the 33. I know it's an...
Thank you for the information... that's great to know on the DTE part, and that no flash is needed. This is getting easier than I thought it would be.
I also verified with my local dealer that the pump in the 23 will work in the 33 and they did not order a pump... so that is going to get me...
lol... that would drive me crazy not being able to figure out where the beeping is coming from. I hope I remember and don't go bazonkers trying to figure it out.
Looking forward to getting it all in and installed. Never really thought about having a dash cam, but it seems like a smart thing...
So have you filled up and it shows the correct (or significantly higher) miles to empty?
Curious as to why others stated the fuel pump is different, but you say it's working fine with the fuel pump out of the 23 gallon tank. Very curious, but if it's working, it's working... lol.
Oh... and...
Yes... that is total... it was $2100 and some change... I just rounded it up. However... if the pump can be reused, that will save the pump purchase. I was under the impression from everyone else that the pump was different.
So I showed my dealer the two lists that are shown here in one of the tank threads.... one from the dealer and the other from a member who did his own. They quoted me right around $2200, so I told them to get the parts ordered. The tank is supposedly on backorder, so not sure when they will...
FaitalPRO has the dash speaker in 4 ohm and 8 ohm. Several guys have used them, and claim they sound better than any of the others used thus far. I can only verify they sound better than the Infinity or JL Audio (JL is underpowered)... based on my subjective listening abilities of course.
If possible... my local dealer asked to see the complete receipt that the dealer give you showing all the parts they used, and the labor charges. He says they've looked at the possibility of doing it, but can't seem to put it all together as to what would be needed. So... if you can share...
To confirm... you can play Amazon HD on your S9 phone and listen via Bluetooth on your RAM HK headunit... with no cable connected?
Have you compared the sound quality to CD recorded on a USB thumb drive in a lossless format (wave, flac, etc)?
I believe I would spend $2100 if all I had to do was drop it off at the dealer and have them handle it all and give it back ready to rock with 33 gallons. That's at least another 4 days of commute for me before filling up again.
Appreciate the thread... excellent information... and it sold me on the VIOFO A129 Pro Duo for sure.
Getting everything ordered up... the A129, a fuse tap kit, the VIOFO HK3ACC hardwire kit, the CPL filter that fits the A129, and I picked up a Samsung 256GB U3 100Mb/s microSD card.
I...
I remember seeing small metal tabs bent over the edge of the plastic speaker cutout when I was looking at my panels. I can only assume they hold the metal in place, so I would think you could order the part and replace it. I would call whoever you plan to order the part from and they should be...
lol... yep... that's a good start. There are several threads out there... along with some complete build threads as well.
Scan down thru the Modifications forum and you should find a few.
If you are looking to do a complete overhaul, there are a few threads over at diymobileaudio.com with...
