That's fine. So a difference in 90 lbs between the sunroof and the Ramboxes would kill payload capacity from 1700s to 1200 lbs?
I went ahead and used Ram's website to build my exact same truck and I get the 1720 lbs payload capacity witht he same GVWR: 7100 lbs. I'm struggling to understand why...
Hold, on, there might be a mistake here. The truck in question is this one:
All screenshots are is being pulled from Ram's site, not the dealer's site. I didn't even look what at what the dealer claims it tows/payloads.
It's a 4x4 Rebel with the new styling, not the classic.
Truck specs on the signature will likely save a lot of time in the future. Added. Great suggestion.
Attaching the specs of the truck I had linked above as well.
The VIN on that particular truck is: 1C6SRFLT5LN422867
So I've been thinking about this thread this weekend, most notably why this Rebel is only rated for 1191 lbs payload when other similarly equipped Rebels are rated much higher in the 1700s and 1800s. I have the 33 gallon tank and other Rebels with the 33 gallon tank are able to hit those...
Late to the party, but will chime in. I'm less than a week in with my new Rebel and I already wish I did not get the Ramboxes. It is a cool idea on paper and do have functionality, but they make virtually every aftermarket bed accessory incompatible. Seems like nobody likes to build aftermarket...
Like others have said, service might not even know it is a lease. However, they can write notes in your service records which could be pulled and checked upon returning the lease.
If you know you're going to buy it out at the end of the lease, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
2020 Ram Rebel in Southern California (lease)
MSRP: $61,785
Selling Price: $ 55,308.74 (about 10.5% discount)
This is before rebates which added $3,000 to the discount, bringing the price down to $52,308.74. In total it was about a 15% discount, which is really good on this truck in this area...
Thanks again. This has been very helpful. For now, it seems like pulling a decent sized trailer with passengers and dogs on this truck is pushing it. 700 lbs at the hitch and 535 for me, wife, kid, dogs and nothing else (no crates), I'm already over payload by about 40 something pounds. That...
This is incredibly helpful. You just saved me hours of research. Thank you!
Can I just take the 14% as a rule of thumb? I'd rather be way under than a little over.
It does seem that loading the camper with the gear is the way to go in order to save payload and be able to dedicate those lbs to...
Thanks. On the bright side, this is also why I leased my first truck. I knew I was going to make mistakes with this kind of stuff. My immediate need is to pull my motorcycle, which I knew this truck could handle, even when loaded. By the end of this 3 year lease, I think I will have acquired the...
I've never towed anything in my life, but I would like to start. Initially, I find it much easier to tow my motorcycle (600 lbs) than to put it on the bed of my Rebel. It is also small and lightweight. However, I would eventually want to start moving up to rented campers, etc.
Since the Rebel...
Sorry to revisit this thread and bump it, but I'm somewhat stunned here. I just got into a $61K Ram Rebel that does not have a factory alarm? Am I reading this correctly? I just went outside and checked my dashboard and I can see a very faint red light blinking to the right of the speedo. Would...
Thanks; I was trying to avoid the lift as it is both expensive and heavy. It is also cumbersome to use.
I might have to come up with something custom, but trying to avoid it.
I found a really good deal on a Ram Rebel, but the truck had Ramboxes which eliminates most of the compatibility with aftermarket toppers. Before I got the truck, I was already set with Softopper but now my plans might have to change.
Does anyone know of a good topper that works with Ramboxes...
I just leased a 2020 Ram Rebel and got a pretty good deal on it. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a spray in bed liner nor steps to get into the truck. I've ordered a Mopar drop in bed liner which I will use for the extent of the lease and then sell if I don't end up keeping the truck...
