I have the same setup as you, truthfully I don't see why it wouldn't work, I just think it would be a crap ton of work.

I don't have a visible crack, but I just noticed that my passenger taillight had condensation, so there must be a leak somewhere. It's a brand new truck so I will bring it up to the dealer on my first oil change.
