I had 305/45 R22 AT tires put on last week and noticed at around 70 mph, the speedometer is off 2-3 mph. I called the local dealer and they said they can only calibrate the OEM offered sizes for my truck, and that isn't one. Discount Tire assured me the tires are fine for fitting the truck...
Report back when you've had a chance to test them on and off road. I was going to put those on until Discount Tire talked me into the DynaproAT2s. Very curious as to your experience with them.
I just put on the Hankook Dynapro AT2 (not the ATM2). I'm mostly street/highway, but hit the occasional dirt road or field hunting. Haven't had a chance to test the off pavement yet, but fingers crossed. I almost went with the Continentals listed above though, until Discount Tire talked me...
I'm finally at the point of running out of the free changes. I debated forever between PUP and Royal Purple. I am finally resting on the RP for these reasons:
1. I think equal protection as PUP. Both meet the specs and carry the label;
2. Easily available at my local auto parts store to...
For those that want a visual on the Hankook dynapro 2. Not as aggressive at other ATs out there, but a nice compromise from the OEM tires. Fills the space well
What @Eighty said. Short story is get the extended warranty that is a genuine Mopar one, but not from the dealer unless they want to match the prices you can get elsewhere. If it is a Mopar warranty, it doesn't matter if you get from dealer or not.
I'll have to touch back in a year or two and give an update. A little noise that I can't hear with radio on won't bother me. I'm hoping the ride quality stays as good as it is right now, or close to it.
Resurrecting an old thread. I admit to being pretty dense with tires. The OEM tires for mine were 285/45R 22XL 114H. Discount Tire suggested (and assured me they fit my RAM) tires that are 305/45R22 118T XL to help with ride quality when getting the AT tires.
This is fine, right? I...
So far, I don't really notice the noise and I'm definitely trying to find it. Maybe as they wear it will get noisier, but they seem awfully quiet to me. I actually didn't care about the looks, just the occasional muddy level B access road while hunting. :)
Got it. I ended up with the Hankook Dynapro AT2 in 305/45/22 118. Very limited driving with them so far, but can't really notice noise and ride seems the same. I'm overthinking every bump I feel though, lol
Esmeralda. Or Ezzy for short.
The story is my wife had a crazy dream I was fooling around with the maid (we have never had a maid btw). Since I got punched in the arm for a dream, I jokingly named the maid Esmeralda. I then years later bestowed the title to my truck, which has led to an...
I'm having the Dynapro AT2s in 305/45/22 put on today, at the suggestion of the Discount Tire guys. I had planned on the continental AT, but they really hyped the ride and quiet on these. Hoping I'm not disappointed, but if they are too loud I can switch them to some Michelins
You had the Toyo OC AT III and they didn't do ok in mild mud? I'm debating between the Continental Terrain Contact AT and those Toyo ones and I'm seriously torn after reading all the threads. 90% highway, but occasional level B dirt road from September through January for hunting purposes. It...
I actually can see that front end looking good in different trim/color combos. But that's just me, it is all subjective.
I'm way more interested in the comfort level they improve in ride quality, the interior improvements, and the tech. Rival the UConnect? Let's not forget that RAM literally...
I have the lifetime warranty and I love my truck (as long as I'm not paying for repairs). Couple that with my average length of keeping a vehicle is 13 years and I'd say I'm set for another 15 years at least
Following. I've been toying with this ever since I bought my 19 Limited a couple years ago. Your criteria seems similar to mine. I'll be very, very interested in your final decision and satisfaction with what you choose.
No, I did not have any strange downshifting. Quite possible you have an entirely different problem. Hopefully they figure it out for you soon.
