Went camping this weekend. Ram pulled the Airstream easily. 7,700 pounds with about 700 pounds of tongue weight. These are guesstimates not actual measured weights.
I'm curious if anyone has painted their truck a new color recently. I know it sounds stupid and certainly doesn't make financial sense, but I had originally wanted to order the Rugged Brown color for my truck but it wasn't available at the time so I had to settle for black. It's pretty but as...
I'll give you my two cents worth. I have an Airstream Flying Cloud 27FB. I had a 2017 Super Duty F-250. I sold the truck to get the Ram. At the time the Super Duty was deemed the best driving heavy duty truck and I agree. Not sure how the Ram 2500 now drives now but probably not any better...
I had the same issue with my Hushky's. I called and spoke with an engineer and he explained what he thought was the problem and sent a new one to me and it is fine. I imagine it is becoming more apparent to them they have a bigger problem. But, they did make it right with me. I think it is...
Soft crate are helpful, comfortable, and more malleable to obstructions or take advantage of the tie downs on the back floor board attached to a harness. If needed, discuss options with your veterinarian to address any anxiety during traveling.
Thanks for the response but I was speaking about once you turn on the heated seats, etc. an icon appears at the very top of the 12 inch screen showing you that the seats are on. That’s the specific icon I am speaking of that I wish they would enable or make it a possible permanent location...
As mentioned, It seems easy to fix and intuitive to allow to have heated seats/steering wheel icon on screen to be active or enabled rather than go through the controls screen. Or better yet, actual buttons. One of the few things about the GMC truck I liked was the heated steering wheel button...
Install is complete and was simple enough. The rails were a tight fit when sliding on the cargo rails of truck. There is an issue with fit at the tail gate where the passenger side is higher off of the tailgate than the driver side. BakFlip has sent new rails based on pictures and video I...
Ditto to the above. I've had air suspension on a previous Laramie. It was nice and useful when towing but I can't say I feel anything significant between driving a truck with vs. without air suspension. That is the reason I didn't feel like ordering that option on my current Longhorn. After...
In my experience with previous trucks, the Front hitch mounts in the same holes or area as tow hooks behind the front bumper. So only one of them can occupy the same space, for now. I don't have any personal experience with the 5th gen trucks but I bet its a safe assumption this is the same...
Looked at my truck and now I see what you are talking about. That would be very close. Wouldn’t know for certain without seeing one installed and able to measure but decent chance you’d have to remove the front plate holder.
Also to be clear. When you do install the hitch you have to remove the tow hooks and will be unable to reinstall them with the front tow hitch installed. I have two posts above showing the hitch installed on two trucks. Note the Ram 1500 with the bike rack also has a front plate/tag installed.
