Got mine installed this evening. My buddy who has the lift in his shop has been a bit busy lately, but we installed this system in less than 2 hours on his lift...and that's with a lot of conversation going on too. ;)
It sounds great to me. I don't listen to my radio very loud, and on the drive...
For towing a boat, unless it's monstrous, the regular mirrors will be what you want. The tow mirrors are for towing large/wide trailers, 5th wheels, etc.
I went with the Gator that was listed above. Inexpensive, and seems to work very well so far. Winters here in Arkansas are not terribly harsh, and I park in the garage, so I can't speak to how they would perform in heavy snow/icing situations. This is temporary for me, as I'm waiting on A.R.E...
I ordered mine last week from Hottexhaust, and it was delivered today - drop shipped directly from Magnaflow according to the FedEx shipping info. Mine is supposed to have the chrome tips, if that makes a difference.
I ordered mine last week from Hottexhaust.com, with the 20% off. It's supposed to be here next Thursday. A buddy of mine has a lift in his shop at home and is going to help me install it. Looking forward to hearing, and feeling, the difference. With sound being subjective, I'm hoping that this...
Rock chip today that immediately begin to run...up to about 12 inches long now. Will have to get with the dealership next week after Christmas and see if they can get one ordered for me.
I have the 8.4 with Nav and have the trailer brake controller, but do not have the center line. Can't find anywhere in the software to turn it on either.
Man, you guys are really making me want one of these. Wish I could hear one in person first, but may have to just bite the bullet and give it a try. Does anyone know if there could ever be a problem with the Lifetime Warranty if you go with aftermarket exhaust like this? Could they claim that...
While the 8.4 has a separate mute button, I don't really like that either the power or mute buttons "pause" the radio. If I use one of those buttons, it's because I don't want to hear the radio. Why would I want that song to play later if I turned it off? Having to hit Replay and then Live is...
Watching an episode of COPS several years ago. Guy in a sporrs car wrecked out running from the cops. One of the officers said "another high performance car with a low performance driver." Sadly most drivers are unsafe at the posted speed limits, much less at 100+ MPH.
They are the Defender LTX - 265/60/18's. I wanted the same thing I had on my Silverado, since they did so well, and as was mentioned earlier this is supposedly the replacement for them - though M/S2's are still listed on places like TireRack.com.
Yeah, that's what I found too. I'm still a "Michelin man", but I will say that I had some trouble with getting some good Defender LTX tires for my wife's Jeep earlier this year. I've never had trouble with Michelins before, but of the original set that I had ordered (through a local...
I'm wondering how well they will do too. I had Michelin LTX M/S2's on my 2010 Silverado. They were some of the best tires I have ever owned, and they did well in the light snow we typically get in south Central AR. Earlier this year I put Defender LTX's on my wife's JGC. Hoping they are as good...
Grew up using Quaker State in everything we had. Dad gad a 1980 Datsun 210 that we gad to set the valves on fairly regularly. With over 100k miles on it, you could almost eat out of the valve cover, it was so clean. So I kept using it until 2010.
When I got my 2010 Silverado I switched to...
Does it help with the fingerprints? I have a tempered glass screen protector on my phone that is great for protection but doesn't help with the fingerprints. ;)
Looking for a screen protector that might not show finger prints as bad as the factory screen. I find myself constantly having to clean it with a microfiber cloth. Thinking maybe a non-glare screen protector might do the trick. Just checking to see if anyone had a recommendation.
