This!
I have the airbag/software recall pending. I'll be bringing up the A/C issue then. I don't expect anything to be done about it, but it will at least get me added to the list of folks that have complained. Maybe it'll make it's way to someone who cares, but probably not. And I'll complain...
The valve / clamp idea works until it rains and you need some heat in the system. I had my hose closed for a while, but we've been getting some rain and had to open it back up to get the windows to defrost. Of course, I had to get out and open the hood to do that in the rain! I've left it open...
Lost my presets for the first time 3 days ago. I immediately realized I didn't have my profile created. Did that, hoping it doesn't happen again.
But, on a positive note, I didn't really like the order of my last preset list....I did it better this time around! Lemonade out of lemons!
Funny, because my dealer said they stopped ordering trucks with BUG's because all the dividers would come up missing. Not sure if employees were stealing them or folks would come onto the lots and steal them. Pretty sucky no matter what the reason.
I only got mine because I ordered the truck...
Came home from the farm yesterday in the middle of a thunderstorm. Had placed 3 bags of beans, a bag of squash, a bag of zucchini and another bag of cucumbers in the rambox to keep them from getting wet on the drive home. The vegetables still taste great. My unscientific test proved that fit and...
I can see your point. I'm sure there's things that bug the crap out of me that others would consider just fine. I can't stand squeaks and rattles, but don't mind a dent or ding or 2. Same goes with the rambox. The fitment is good enough and the utility far outweighs that little drawback.
And...
My fit is a little off on one side. It's not off enough that I want to deal with taking it to the dealer and have considered attempting to tweak it myself. It's not all that complicated. But, it's also not off enough that it bothers me that much.
That said, I couldn't imagine not having them...
Don't feel bad about it. I have the rear ventilated seats and cringe when anyone uses them. The high setting is really loud and I usually have to ask them to turn them down to at least medium.
Sometimes I wish I didn't have them.
... Guess that must be 32 degrees or below. Sure wish mine blew ice cold. Best I still get is 50 without the clamp and 44 when clamped. Would love to know how to get to ice cold. Going to take mine in soon to get pressures checked. Going to tell them some folks in the forum get ice cold air...
Other than the sadle bags behind the front seats, there's not much "western" theme left when you go with the New Saddle interior. I guess the "wood" is westernish...but almost all luxury cars come with wood these days. Looks fine to me.
I only got the Longhorn for the New Saddle. If it was only...
If it's anything like my 03, the dash has to come out. My 03's is currently broken and I've not yet mustered up the motivation to rip the dash out. It's on my long list of things to do.
Post some actual temps. I'd be curious what "freeze you out" and "blows cold" equates to in facts.
My wife thinks 80 degrees is cold...it's all subjective.
Your idea of cold and freeze might be 55 or 60 out of the vents. If you post that you are getting 40 out of your vents...that's a...
Heat soaking is really the big issue. If i've had it sitting in the shade or in a garage, it is almost good enough. But if it's been out in the blazing sun, there's just no hope. Gotta keep the fan wide open and it just can't cool everything off.
With the hose clamped and the vent temps in the...
I did another test with mine. Left the house with hose clamped and let the temp get down to 42-44. I pulled over and removed the clamp and temp at the drivers vent immediate went to 50-52. Hard to tell exactly on my thermometer, but close enough. Drove this way for about an hour. Did some...
Muchos Grassyass. Significantly better. Thanks!!! (y)
FYI, I did some more testing with the HF clamp and when I recently posted that I was sweltering in a parking lot, I'd actually left the house with the clamp OFF and put it on at a previous stop. I think having the heat already present in the...
One can only assume he doesn't use this site on a mobile device. I'm 50/50 and when on mobile I have to scroll a page or 2 to get past his signature and massive fonts. Isn't technology grand!
This is one of those situations where the site should limit font colors and signature lengths to help...
