nice! youre adding weight to me wanting to throw the XHDs in the truck this spring
As far as leveling or raising with the shocks....I JUST went through this with my 5100 install a month or so ago. I landed with leaving the 5100s set to stock ride height. Loaded my truck sits about 1in higher in...
I can x2 how great those fellas are. I got a set of the 351-891HDs thinking MAYBE they'd be okay. They were okay but not great, and the truck didnt have the loaded stance I wanted. When I ordered the 893s they were phenomenal about the return process for the 891s. The site I linked is less...
If you pull a trailer the cargomaxx springs are your best friend. I also have air assist bags in but never use them anymore. The 351-893HD made a massive improvement loaded and unloaded.

The link says it’s for...
ive used fluid film on travel trailers and trucks for years. it works for me but I am in DE and we dont salt our roads nearly as much as the more northern states. So it may be that it works well enough for us but wont perform as well for say mid and north PA or NY
I have 110,000ish miles on my Gladiator (3.6 engine) when i traded it. I towed a LOT with that engine and pushed it pretty hard with a heavy trailer, the engine was basically flawless....just under powered IMO. Some guys on the jeep forums had timing issues and such, but I think that was do to...
I’ve been really impressed with the HD springs but obviously I’m a little curious if the XHD would perform the same without a load but better under load. How would you say the drive feels?
Michelin Defender XL tires. Youll be happier than ever with their performance in all weather and towing. The only drawback os they dont look cool…but after years of wasting money in the jeep world I’ve become a function over form guy and i cant complain at all with them.
No real impact on mpg...
Fwiw you could always look at cargomax springs. The progressive rate springs ride like stock and give the extra capacity it seems folks are after. I have a set of the 893HDs in mine (bighorn none orp) and i love them. Made a WORLD of difference towing...
Co signing? Or just adding more value to your one off comment so perhaps a member doesn’t discount the point since its only from one member? It was valuable info and deserved a bump. The real question here is why it bothered you enough to even address it…odd.
Rolling resistance is a huge factor for mpg in tires. Thats part of why HT tires get better mileage. At tires are more purpose built. But this is why i keep mentioning the firestones and geolanders, they have a lower rolling resistance than a lot of at tires.
I had them for 25k is miles and they had a lot of tread left when I traded the gladiator in. The UTG isnt the highest on them, but if memory serves its higher than the OEM bridgstones. They seemed like they were going to last to 50k is easily, which was nice since I I had the SL version and...
@31RamIt your making the truck work but not necessarily pushing the limits.
What they other members are saying is that anytime you change something it can effect the payload. Adding SPRUNG weight (weight that is above the springs) decreases the payload...heavier wheels do not as that is...
well...i have the same tow capacity / gears / engine as you and I tow my 6k-6.5k lbs 30ft TT with a tongue weight of 750lbs ish. With a WDH the truck did perfectly fine...though to be fair I recently put on the cargo max rear springs and was a MASSIVE improvement over the airlift bags in the...
im sure there are but unless your willing to disassemble the front struts your not replacing them easily. If your fronts are rotted out then yea, otherwise id just replace those rears. They simple pull down and to the side to pop out....or crumble out in your case. Then the new ones you push up...
