Would you trust a factory Mopar "remanufactured" CV shaft?

I went back into the site and for some reason, the shipping dropped drastically when I changed dealers to one in North Carolina. I ordered the shafts and the shipping was only about $30. So I have them on order. Sure hope the site was correct in saying they fit both left and right side. All...

Quality stock-height front struts I can install myself on my 2019 Laramie 1500 4x4

I’m fairly mechanically inclined. Not trying to sound more experienced than I am. Figuring out how things work is just something I’ve been good at since a young age. I’ve made mistakes, and learned from them. But I can generally judge my limitations very well. Changing out the struts is...

Would you trust a factory Mopar "remanufactured" CV shaft?

They seemed like a good deal until I realized they add a $50 core charge, and I'm responsible for return shipping, and shipping to me is $108. Maybe I'll just buy locally at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Their brand is "Precision". Don't know anything about them, but it comes out cheaper to buy local...

Would you trust a factory Mopar "remanufactured" CV shaft?

It's a daily driver. I seldom ever even use 4wd, and when I do, I'm just trying to get past some muddy areas without getting stuck when I'm out hunting, or going up a slippery boat ramp.

Would you trust a factory Mopar "remanufactured" CV shaft?

I need to replace my CV shafts. They are clicking - especially the passenger side. When I shake the left one by hand underneath the truck near the transfer case, I can see quite a bit of movement where it connects to the transfer case, and it makes a clunking noise there. I priced CV shafts...

Quality stock-height front struts I can install myself on my 2019 Laramie 1500 4x4

I'm looking to replace my factory front struts. I don't want a lift. I'm not a off-roader. This is my daily driver truck that I use for hunting / towing a boat. I saw several ads and suggestions for Bilstein B8 5100's, using stock springs. But I don't have access to a spring compressor, and...

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

Finally got around to changing them this week at 103K miles. The spark plug tool mentioned worked great for all but two plugs. No way to get it to fit the two right near the brake booster. I had to put a spark plug socket in the hole, then attach a short extension, then a swivel adapter, and...

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

The instructions on Iridium plugs specifically say not to gap them because they are pre-gapped and the iridium center anode is much more fragile than standard. I’ve never heard of Rock Auto. I generally don’t buy from places I’ve never heard of because there are so many fake online “stores”...

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

I’m sticking with Iridium. My truck is a 2019 and has 102k on it. All the best, Glenn

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

The fender liners won’t give me any better access. It’s the brake booster that gets in the way. The fender liners are below the level of the plugs, so it won’t give me better access.

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

Will do. I’ll try filming the back 4 if I figure something out better than I’ve seen on YouTube. Even with the special tools, I think these are going to suck to change…

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

Awesome. Thanks everyone. Just purchased it. I also got a 100 position, swivel head ratchet today too. That should help as well. All the best, Glenn

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

Yeah, that’s the one I found. It’s different, but fairly close. I was hoping for some tricks / tips for the back 4 on the drivers side, but these vids don’t offer much I didn’t already know. Thanks. All the best, Glenn

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

Those are the ones I was looking at buying from Autozone.

    Spark plug change - 2019 Ram 1500 w/ 5.7

I did a search, hoping I’d come across something, but nothing really answered my questions. Saw a couple of “PITA” references to changing the back 4 on the drivers side by the brake booster, and that’s my main concern. So hoping someone has experience with doing this. Mine is not the hybrid...

Thinking of getting a tonneau cover….

I did find a better comparison here. Leaning harder towards the MX4 https://realtruck.com/blog/bakflip-g2-vs-mx4-folding-tonneau-cover-comparison/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQs49uqDxjX1NR8YnUVPrRLpO29moyEKkcfsxYGlOjiS23O82a4aWJIxoCQZsQAvD_BwE

Thinking of getting a tonneau cover….

I want a tonneau cover, and I’m narrowing down my choices. I have a 2019 1500 Laramie 4x4 with the 5’7” bed, not Rambox. I have dual Swingcase boxes installed, and that narrows down my choices as well, as some don’t work with those. When I launch my boat, I usually go from the side steps to...

Ram 1500 active grill shutter issues

Thanks! How long is the extended warranty on the AAD? I’m pushing 89K right now. My extended warranty on the drivetrain expires at 100k, but the AAD probably isn’t part of that. All the best, Glenn
