I recently installed a Borla Touring on my 2020 Ram. Like the instructions noted, I took the flange gasket off the stock muffler, however I noticed there were actually 2 gaskets. Since it was the stock exhaust and I bought it new, I assumed that was normal. Now after going through the...
I was originally told to go get it fixed, but the exhaust shop was unable to get it right without modifying the pipe. After complaining to customer service again, I was transferred to a manager. I was told by the customer service manager that there was a production issue with some of the touring...
I leaning this way, but still hesitant about the fitment. I think I will have to return the old one, but not sure yet. Right now they only want to send me a new muffler and not the tips, however, I told them the muffler shop did some hanger bending on my existing tips, so if I go the...
The Touring is plenty loud for me. Still debating if I want to get a replacement and risk the same issue or just get a refund and go back to stock for now until i figure out what i want to do.
I got off the phone with a customer service manager at Borla and he mentioned there was a manufacturing issue with the touring causing issues with alignment. They offered a replacement or I can return it. I'm torn on what I want to do. Do I want to risk having a similar issue with the...
I recently got the Touring version and I also cannot get the tip to align on the passenger side. Borla needs to improve the design, especially since it's almost a grand. What did you end up doing with your exhaust after you took it off? I'm hoping borla will take it back and refund me. Sucks...
Have you heard any of the borla's to compare the sound? I have a borla touring which im hoping to return under warranty because it fits like crap, but don't want something that would be much louder than the borla touring.
I live about an hour away from Horsham. What did they charge for the install? I recently installed the Borla Touring, while I'm happy with the sound, the fitment is horrible. Can't get the darn tip on the passenger side aligned. Really wish they had the tips adjustable like factory and AWE...
Well I took it to a muffler shop and didn't get the results I wanted due to the fact that I think there is a manufacturer defect with my system, plus the guy I took it too just wasn't that good. Google reviews showed good reviews, but he just seemed impatient and didn't want to deal with it...
Looks good! Any issues with it moving out of alignment after driving on bumpy roads?
I go to get mine adjusted tomorrow. Hopefully I will have the same results.
That's what I did, but there was no adjustment that could be made to make the muffler further from the bump stock or make the passenger tip align without modifying anything. I'm pretty sure the hangers on the muffler are out of alignment, so I'm having a muffler shop do the adjustment since...
Yeah, I'm not happy about the poor fitment. The exhaust shop I'm taking it to said he doesn't like Borla because of poor fitment, and not just on Rams. Touring is also a lot louder than I was expecting, but a nice deep growl. Can't imagine having the S-Type or Atak if they are louder.
I'm taking mine to an exhaust shop next week on Borla's dime. Did they weld all the joints? The guy at the exhaust shop mentioned he's had to weld some other borla's because the band clamps just don't keep things from moving. I'm a bit concerned if he welds everything, it will be a ***** if...
I recently installed a Borla touring on my truck and I am having some fitment issues on the passenger side. Like you and others, the pipe is real close to the bump stop, maybe 3/16" away and I cannot for the life of me get the passenger tip centered. This is probably because of the muffler...
Thanks for the pics. I'm gonna see what kind of adjustments I can make tomorrow and if unsuccessful, will contact Borla. Do you have any issues with the tip being so close to the bumper and plastic. I'm worried if I can adjust, it might melt the plastic.
