The servicing tech tells the Service Manager what he sees concerning the failure/warranty claim based upon his professional judgement. The dealer reviews the data and informs either the manufacturer (in the event of a MOPAR extended warranty) or the insurer (in the event of a...
I think it’s a crap shoot for any of us when we purchase an extended warranty. There are too many opportunities to have a claim denied by the “judgement” of the mechanic, the dealer or the manufacturer. Hopefully it works out well for you.
Agreed. I researched it and there are two tanks for 2020 MY however only one "solid" skid plate to fit both of them unlike the 2021 MY which has the felt plate. BAM cancelled on me because mine is a 2021 and I was ordering a 2020 part.
So, I called my local dealer and got it (Part No...
To each their own...for us, the 12-gauge Console Vault held strong despite the fools trying to damned near jackhammer it out of the console. They got nothing. With that said, the price delta is significant if that makes a difference to the OP.
Lock'er Down has the 12-gauge version (LD2078)...
I'm not sold on my homemade solution so as I can see a number of potential issues with it. Thanks to your picture and comments about the 2020 version, I researched both versions, and they appear to be the same size but different material. The DEF tank is the same part number for 2020 to 2022...
That review is BS…the divider has to be flipped up so the until sits down in the console flush and it is solid steel all the way around. I’ve owned nothing but Console Vault for ten years and have them installed in all our family trucks (Rams and one Ford), and they’ve never failed when when...
I didn’t even mess with the dealer for a $30 part as they would have had my truck for a minimum of three days to diagnose the issue and then order it. Then another trip to get it installed. I simply ordered it from BAM and did it myself.
I’ve looked at purchasing the skid plates but wanted to get the issue with the DEF skid plate rectified first. I believe this fixed it and next is ti purchased the skid plate set.
Yes, you are absolutely correct. I had it on my previous Ram which was a 5th Gen eTorque. I've been purchasing from Geno's for years going back to 1998 when I owned my Dodge Ram 2500 CTD. They always have stellar products which outperform my expectations.
They have a section on their website...
Yes, $500 is ridiculous.
Ask the dealers if Shell Rotella T6 meets the spec indicated in the owner's manual - which it does not - and if they say it does, then ask them if they're going to honor the warranty if the non-spec oil causes an issue...and ensure to get that in writing. T6 is a very...
See the link below as this contains the information you may be seeking (the short answer appears to be they cannot be replaced, only "augmented"):

“It had a blue device plugged in, similar to my OBDlink…tucked behind kick panel” - this sounds like a GPS tracking device dealerships will install and charge you $1000. Did you pay for a GPS tracking service? I had one in my Ecodiesel that I didn’t pay for nor want so I uninstalled it...
I was told by my Service Manager (one never knows how much smoke they're blowing) that all they have to do is look in your system with their software to see what has been changed and then cross reference it with Ram's electronic records to determine if those changes were done by a dealer or a...
