The question is - are there trucks that never leaked ? Hard to figure that out from the forum but it would be interesting to know what's the percentage of them that do leak and is it pretty much a certainty that you'll end up with this ********...
I'm far from offended, just hard to get over something that makes literally zero sense. You chose to ignore example I've given. I can bring here thousands of them that were developed without purpose of making money on it.
Btw - Tesla is a car company being forced to make electric cars and...
I know. US sent Armstrong and Aldrin to the moon because free capitalist society sent them there - few rich people thought it was great way to make money.... Oh, wait...
I don't think you have slightest clue about how the technology progressed over the years and who paid for it or you missed...
This exactly - DTE is calculated based on most recent short-term fuel economy - so after cold start it shows really low and as I get on the highway it either stays where it is for 40ish miles or starts going up. Gauge itself also seems to be affected by it.
200 miles on 75 North at 75-80 mph I routinely get between 19 and 20 mpg.
First tow will be in about a month (open car trailer) - on F150 3.5 Ecooboost with max tow package (so short gearing - 3.73 I think rear end - and 10 speed auto) I was anywhere between 13.5 and 14.5 mpg - trailer is 2000...
Tow mode is all about transmission programming - you don't want to tow in the 8th gear as that's likely to overheat / put additional wear on the transmission. I don't understand why one would not use it either.
Anyone encountered it ? Don't think this is UConnect issue, so posted here - right side adjusts volume, left side does nothing (and am pretty sure used to - flip through stored preset stations for example)
Fault or not, some absolutely basic common sense would dictate looking under the truck to see where that puddle is coming from and checking the dipstick (especially that manuals typically have some CYA language "check oil level before every drive". Also, low oil light is not low oil level, it's...
I'd ask for new engine and not listen to the nonsense that engine "should" be ok...
Having said that, seeing big puddle of oil, turning around and driving back without checking the cause and oil level was not the smartest move here...
They're the lamest thing ever. I bought an elantra few years back that came with it (it was a deal add on that I didn't pay for of course) - it was the first thing I removed once I got home - it's a $2 piece of electronics tapped into 3rd brake light wiring.
You almost certainly are significantly exceeding payload on your truck - towing capacity on 1500 is basically irrelevant, they're always payload limited and no amount of beefing it up is going to help with it (in fact you're risking damaging frame/axle/whatever).
BCM typically needs to be programmed for specific VIN number / vehicle build (not sure on the RAM but in general that's what needs to happen) - I don't think you can simply just swap it after buying the part itself.
Maybe the original owner removed them (assume you've bought used) ? I removed mine immediately, they're pain in the *** if you ever have to change the wheel after catching flat tire.
If someone local to me wants them, I can give them out for free (they're in the original Mopar blister packaging).
Than what do you expect ? Auto regulates fan speed to achieve faster heating / cooling of the cabin (assuming engine has enough heat in the case of heating). If it's off, it will just be at whatever (likely low) fan speed you set it to and of course won't be warm in the cabin in case of you...
