I think if you have the active air dam, you get the curved ends. If you have air suspension, you do not get the active air dam and get the straight ends.
I have heard the same thing about them being backordered, nearly impossible to find right now.
I got mine from Mopar Parts online last year and spent around $150 for the tow hooks and the bezel kit. There are some installation videos online that will save you a lot of frustration putting them on.
When I had my 2500 I had to take corners extra wide, even in slush and snow or it would bind and hop like you are describing. I would even pop it back in 2WD momentarily if pulling into a tight driveway or side street. Welcome to the world of solid front axles. Totally normal.
For what it's worth, my last truck was a 2500 with factory 17" wheels. I bought a nice set of used factory 18" wheels when it needed tires, and switched it over to the 18". I also added the roof clearance lights. The window sticker and door jamb sticker still said 17" wheels of course, and no...
I had a small ding in my passenger door taken out by a PDR shop. It was at the lower crease, about 6" up from the bottom. They charged me $100 if I remember correctly. It seemed a bit pricey, but they did a perfect job. The doors are steel on these trucks- take a magnet to it. The hood and...
I used to do all my own oil changes, but now it doesn't really pay to. Till I buy 7 quarts at around $5 or $6 each, a good filter for $8 , I spent close to $50 and then have to get rid of the drain oil as well. My dealer does it for around $45 with synthetic blend in the truck and full...
I had a 2500 for five years, traded it in on my 2019 1500. The 2500 looked great with the higher stance and all, but I personally got tired of the rough ride and the overall sluggish, heavy performance. The new 5th generation 1500 drives like a performance car compared to the 2500, and rides...
If you jack up the back end (both rear tires off the ground) with vehicle in neutral, spin the one wheel. If the other side spins the opposite direction, you have an open rear. If the other side turns in the same direction, you have a "posi" , "anti-spin" , "sure-grip" or "lsd", whichever you...
You have moisture somewhere inside like drstein said. Probably damp carpets either from a leak or someone shampooed the carpets. With 24K the interior probably needed some major cleaning before you bought it. I used to work at a dealership and after major detailing on a used car, the windows...
I bought a set of the Rhino ramps when I got the truck. They have rubber feet on them which help, but all ramps tend to slip forward a bit. I had a set of 30 year old stamped steel ramps as well, but they were way too narrow for the 275-55-20 tires. The tires hung over the lips on the sides...
We have a Grand Cherokee with air suspension as well, and I think the Ram is as smooth or smoother riding than the Jeep. My son says it is a Chrysler 300 with a bed. I have owned dozens of vehicles over the years, and I can say this Ram 1500 is the nicest driving and riding I have ever owned.
I put on the Weathertechs and I have the rear wheelhouse liners. There were no problems whatsoever. They actually fit over the existing spats, so there is really no way to screw up the alignment.
When I had my 2013 Ram I asked the dealer about it. You would need new key fobs, which for the 2019 would be pricey. I believe they quoted me around $500 back then, but the 2013 had a cheaper fob. That would have been parts and labor.
They only send out a short signal every so often, and only when the tire is rotating. If they were on constantly, the small battery in the sensor would be dead in no time at all. What you saw was perfectly normal.
I see it has the infamous tow mirrors. You lose features like power fold , heated glass and cameras depending on the model. Check some of the threads on here about the tow mirror issues before you buy. My dealer still has a bunch of new 2019's with tow mirrors that were on the lot a year ago...
I think it depends on whether or not you have the active air dam. Trucks with the air suspension have a fixed front air dam. My Bighorn has the style you show in the first photo, with the "humps".
