Here's one that most never mention. DO NOT USE LOANER SPRING COMPRESSORS. The loaner spring compressors are weak and don't work well with heavy duty springs. I bought some heavy duty spring compressors from Amazon and they worked great. The loaner sets start bending under the extreme...
Fix the window yourself with Permatex flowable caulk. The mold in the back is something that the dealer SHOULD address, but not sure that they will. Good luck.
Actually, most lemon laws MAY require multiple attempts to fix an issue, OR the amount of time out of service. It's not both. The dealership will offer the trade in as a 1st step. Ignore that. The next step is to verify your state's lemon law guidelines and mention to the service manager...
I think many are experiencing different clunks. So, I would suggest checking the sway bar endlink bushings, UCA torque specs, brake caliper bolts and hood bump stops. If you want to replace the sway bar body bushings, do it, as many have shown there's to be quite worn with low miles.
But, if...
If you don't protect the decals, they will crack, fade, and start to lift at the edges. There are protectants that offer a lubrication to keep them from getting brittle. The sun and UV rays will cause them to deteriorate without some protection.
I have waxed over my decals for many years. I had a 2003 Monte Carlo SS Brickyard 400 edition that had decals all over the car and on the hood. The decals looked great after 12 years, except the aftermarket hood decal that was put on after a slight accident. That one started to discolor and...
My truck needed to be aligned 8x after I did the level. The problem I have is that the truck was fine after the level until I went for an alignment. After the alignment, my wheel was at about 11:30. I straightened the wheel myself two weeks ago.
Someone posted instructions on how ro adjust...
You're being ripped off. My dealer mentioned a $300 cost for front and rear diff fluid. My dealer also charges $39.95 for my truck's oil changes. They have a $200/hr labor rate, so the plugs should be a 1 hour max effort. I would think everything you're getting done, by a non dealer service...
The auto tilt of the side view mirrors can be very useful if the manufacturer and the owner set it correctly.
My 2006 Silverado was outfitted with 2006 Tahoe mirrors. I had the drivers side set to remain in place, while the passenger mirror tilted down and in so I could see the parking line...
Ok. The clunk is GONE. The truck does feel more stable and I do feel the road slightly more than before. It only took almost 4 years to resolve but it was solid going over speed bumps that always caused the clunk.
Thanks for sharing this fix
I did the swap this morning. No other changes made so I will know if there's any different feel. I just haven't gone anywhere yet. I'll report back tonight as I know I'm going somewhere today.
