This is great. Hope it works. that chime is a pain in the *** when doing stuff around the property. No real need for a belt to drive the trash cans to the road or move firewood around. If I had a nickel for each time I sternly tell the truck “I know. I know. I know!”...
Auto manufacturers have to license (aka pay for) carplay for their vehicles. Apple charges more for wireless than wired carplay and so most choose to go wired and save some bucks. This is also why there's no officially supported wireless adapters.
oh yeah, I'm sure. I guess my point is that what you're towing is a huge factor. A little old log splitter was awful, no because of its size, but because it was poorly weighted and had no suspension and that's no fault of he towing vehicle.
It was empty?
The worst towing experience I've had was pulling a home built log splitter. 2 or 3 people could pick the thing up off the ground, but the guy who built it put all the weight behind the wheels. It felt like you were pulling an angry bull going down the road.
I wonder how it'd...
I think the fact that it's asking you to hit the start button is throwing me off. I don't remember having to do that to switch from drive to neutral and back.
I'll test it out in a bit, but you're gonna have to hit the brake no matter what. Just be quick about it or go to a different car wash...
I've read that we can't plow with those splayed frame rails on the front. I'm not sure if it's because there's just no way to mount the usual hardware, but I suspect it's because they're not structurally sound enough for the job. Which leads me to wonder if they'll hold up to a real good...
Everyone here is right, there's no way to raise the gvwr.... But you can lighten the truck... I'd start by buying lighter wheels and removing skid plates, the spare tire, airbags, one brake pad on each corner, and the fenders.
If anyone picks up a black 1500 from Don White’s, in MD, matching the description in my signature (other than the color obviously)... You’re good! I didn’t drive the thing or even sit in it. They ordered the wrong color. Enjoy!!!
I noticed today that pressing the center of the volume button did something... popped up and asked me what card to display on the bottom of the screen. I’ve gotta play with it or read up on it, BUT the button does more than just adjust the volume. Maybe pressing the track button is a play/pause...
I’ve seen a few posts around concerning bad alignment from the factory. Might look at checking the balance and alignment first, unless you’re looking for an excuse to buy better tires... which is something I truly do understand.
I did another CAD... This time 2 piece solution for easier install. Looked at the phone mount in the truck and I'm not sure that earlier design would work.
So far as how it'd hold the cable, because it has to be fixed... Can't slide up or down. I'd be comfortable just gluing the sob into the...
:-) I was kidding... I couldn’t do anything in CAD if you held a gun to my head. I could steal some of my son’s Play-Doh and make a 3D model with that, but he’s got his colors all mixed up... it’d look very 60’s psychedelic.
My only gripe about the truck so far is that I’ve got to plug my phone in to use CarPlay. If someone with the right skills fashioned some sort of mount that’d hold the phone cable in the proper position under the right hand phone slot in the center console, allowing me to just plop my phone in...
