How close are the rims clearnce to the caliper? Every car is different its hard to take into account how close the caliper is to the rim. That's usually the last thing a tech would think about, they just want to get the tire/rim balanced. If they didn't rub or fly off after the tech drove it...
I'm glad I got out . I went to tech school for automotive, then after worked on cars for 8 years. I work for a utilities company now and make much more than I did as a tech. Way more opprutunity to advance as well. The automotive trade just doesn't pay anymore. That's why I only worked in a...
I agree switch back to oem, when I seen vehicles, when I did work on cars, come in with those oiled k&n filters I would just laugh. You are not gaining anything from it and plus why have to worry about cleaning and oiling a filter when the factory one does just aswell. I would say they are about...
The pedal delay is probably programmed into the computer. A.k.a "torque managment" Manufactures have done it for a long time. Even more so because these trucks and cars are putting out much more power than they did 15-20 years ago. Torque managment only allows so much power depending on the...
7mph over a speed bump!? You have to be crazy slow down there speed racer you're gonna destroy the truck! In all seriousness no. Many people hit speed bumps faster than that and they own cars or crossovers. These trucks are designed to take more than speed bumps, no different than uneven...
How big of a lift? I know zone offroad sells their lift kits with the option of the truck coming factory equipped with 22's. All you have to do is when you configure the kit mark yours that it came factory with 22's. Here is the 4" lift. I'd email them to make sure but from what I have heard the...
Are those the factory tires? I have heard the factory tires on these 2019+ Rams are junk. Such as the sidewalls not being stiff enough for the truck it actually wears the outer edges due to the tires sidewall not being stiff enough for the weight of the truck. I know there are other forums...
Have you checked your exhaust manifold/header gaskets or bolts? Very common on the 5.7 louder tick when cold goes away when warm. When I worked on cars most of the 5.7's we were replacing the exhaust manifold gaskets.
I would look at an aftermarket offroad bumper, they are strong as hell. Have a buddy who has one on his 2020 definitely worth it. Better than the plastic/ sheet metal they put on them now
I had Fred Jr. (Minnesota wholesale) in forest lake mn do mine on an older truck I had. You could give them a call, they specialize in lift kits and what not. Otherwise I'm sure you have heard of 4wp as well. I remember on my old 06 chevy 1500, I know not a dodge but I had a 6" lift installed...
I've noticed Nittos run close to true size or a little bigger. I had some 285/70r17 ko2s on a 06 chevy 1500 and they looked small, I then got some 285/70r17 Nitto ridge grapplers, they look quite a bit wider and taller also they look better size wise then the ko2s. At least from my experiance...
The only thing is the rebel and ORG come with a 1" lift already, so adding a spacer to that puts you about 3". Which Its usually not recommend going over 2.5" without changing things. You may be able to fix the upper ball joint angle but you still have a steeper lower ball joint angle and...
If you have any thoughts of towing heavy or lifting and going with a 34"+ tire without a doubt 3.92's. Take off will be much better and crusing will be a lot better not as much shifting. Otherwise if you are going to keep it stock and only tow once In A while 3.21's will be fine, most guys go...
You live near forest Lake? I worked at the chevy dealership next door a while back. The only thing I did like about that dealer is the lifetime powertrain warranty. Figured I ask seeing that is the FL mn ram dealer. Nice truck love the white, hoping to buy one myself soon.
Milwaukee 1/2", was a tech, worked on cars for 8 years before I got smart and got out of it lol, had all electric milwaukee and many techs swear by milwukee, they easily outdid snap on. Performance wise and price wise. Dewalt is ok, used to have one but the milwaukee blows the others out of the...
Thanks everyone so far for the replies, it's helped out with some to definitely look at and some to probably avoid. It sounds like Fury definitely is one of the first ones to look at. I'm not looking at buying brand new. So I have to browse around a bit to find one close that has the options I...
I have heard good things about luther and they are a plenty, I was a mechanic for 8 years and went to school for it, luther was definitely the dealership to work for, and actually The wife bought her Honda Crv from the Honda dealer that way, really great people from my experiance. Thanks for...
I'll have to keep my out on them too, there have been many great suggestions now, so Now it's just a matter of Me looking into each of them more, and most of all if they have the Model I want. Thanks for your response I appreciate it!
I looked at Jeff belzers They do have some pretty good prices, compared to other dealers. I am not afraid to travel a little ways if it means getting better service and a pretty good deal. I'll have to check them out! Thanks for the reply I greatly appreciate it!
