I have five grown sons and it gives me great pleasure when they’re in town and my Rebel bites one of them. It’s payback for all the years of slamming my doors!
Is it Max Steel? How does the wheel tire package ride and handle compared to stock.? I have a 19 also with 25k and my Goodyears still look new but the rubber is getting hard after four years in the Nevada sun.
Max Steel is awesome! I did the same thing I always do and went with white but I bought in late 2018 and I don’t think Rebels were available in all colors then.
If you aren’t dead set on a shell and like ARE check out this ARE Fusion HARD tonneau. Paint matched to your truck. Had it for three years now. Secure and no water leaks. Love your T Rex !
I replaced the battery last summer when it failed to start one morning. It should have been replaced under warranty but, local Ram dealer was lacking in basic customer service skills (that’s another story). I replaced it myself with an Autozone AGM and I DID NOT update the system which requires...
I hear ya I also have 420 ‘ so the Rebel lives outside. I can bring it in when the wife’s Jeep is outside but it takes up so much room I can’t open the beer fridge!
Do you think that disabled stop/start either through the button or otherwise could have an affect on Lion battery life? I used to always turn it off but thinking about the question above I started letting it auto start a few times per trip thinking ET as a system might like it. Thanks 🙏
Wow, Hope Ram makes it right for you. Never heard of that one either. I can understand your lack of confidence. Peace of mind is one of the big reasons we spend so much on the trucks.
I wish you trouble free days with your Rebel. They’re great really and I’ve only had the main battery issue and a few recalls which happens to all makes. It’s the factory support that needs improvement. I think the horse is out of the barn on that one. I’m afraid before techs and service...
The Rebel is ET. My Jeep is not ET but has stop / start and only one battery. Both have the same intelligent battery sensor same part number even. When the Jeep battery went bad same thing start/stop not available and finally went into limp mode. I’m not 100% sure of much on these vehicles but...
The parts house might very well have the scanner tool to accomplish it most of them do to help with deciphering codes thrown. I never did it on my Rebel or Jeep. The thinking is that you need to tell the truck the battery is new because the computer on memory may keep charging the battery as if...
Hard to say it’s an individual decision, your automotive maintenance skill level and how and where you use your Ram. Knowing what I know now I probably will consider replacing at 2 years or start of a 3rd summer. If you plan to travel much or your wife drove it a lot that could make right away...
The health of the main battery does affect the availability of the start/stop system if the IBS (attached to the main battery negative cable) senses it’s down on power or failing. Battery life is tough to predict – it depends on the age of the battery, the climate and how often you drive the...
The main starting battery is most likely the issue. It may hold up under a load test but the intelligent battery sensor might detect its less than optimal. Been down this road with my Rebel and Jeep. You can spend more but I have gone with Autozone and ORilley AGM’s with good results.
