Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

I don't know. I've actually had it before where they don't tell me it was covered until it's time to pay, so we'll see next week.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Just for reference if anyone searches and comes across this topic. I took it in to have the dealership evaluate the clamps I put on (one I could not get through the hose's "belt loop" because it wouldn't fully open) and to diagnose an odd hum noise that began at partial throttle (RPMs and gear...

    Should you engage 4WD periodically?

With vehicles, I'm stuck on old habits that may or may not still matter. I turn the A/C off 15-30 seconds before my destination. If I have a turbo, I let the car/truck idle for 15-60 seconds before turning off. And, I try to engage 4WD and 4LO (on the proper surface) every so often just to keep...

    Kinda cool product…….but price, yikes.

Seems like some manufacturer used to have a setup where you routed the cables over something and it held the tailgate at half open?

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Well, it happened again. Next clamp up the line. Must have gotten a bad batch. Edit: This time was under full boost. I don't think it was last time. Question for the board. Should I tighten a clamp very tightly? Or do I need to back off a little for expansion?

    Rear Squat With Nissans Towing

Ever since I got a travel trailer, I've paid more attention to other people's setup as they go by on the highway or I see them in parking lots/gas stations/etc... I have noticed that a good 90% or more of the Nissans (and Infinitis) I see towing any sort of camper or cargo trailer look like the...

It was up here, underneath the shroud.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

Assuming I am looking at the right pipes (left and right side of intercooler. At the bottom) they are attached but there is some wiggle play at the connection points. Also where one pipe goes over the engine at the center of the engine bay.

Service Electronic Throttle Control and a Long List of Codes

I was driving along the highway (not interstate) into the NC mountains. Part way up the mountain, I heard an odd noise in the front, sort of a "donk," followed by the sound of air rushing. My first thought was I'd punctured a tire, but then I started losing power and the dash lit up. First I saw...

Hammock vs Seat Extended Rear Seat Cover

We have two beagles and use a hammock as a shedded fur container. It also serves to keep them from crashing onto the floor if I break hard. I put two towels between the bottom of the hammock and the seats.

I think this is the perfect truck/motor combo and I feel so spoiled

We ordered about the same time (from Mark Dodge) and got almost the same truck (mine's the short bed) and your thoughts mirror mine exactly. I'd probably be ok with the Revolution but I'm really spoiled on my truck's range (even with a 3.92, and especially when towing) and it would be hard for...

Towing a car on U-Haul Auto Trailer

One of the Conquests I towed was lowered on coilovers and we backed it on. We used the trucks air suspension to adjust the angle of the ramps so it wouldn't scrape going on. Probably the best use I've had for the air suspension besides getting the truck low enough for our basement garage! :LOL...

Towing a car on U-Haul Auto Trailer

I'm thinking it's front end clearance. I entered my wife's Volvo XC60 which is heavier and almost the same length and it was fine.

Towing a car on U-Haul Auto Trailer

It won't let me complete the reservation. I guess I can just go to the lot and ask them. Or lie about the car. But if it has a valid reason for blocking me... I wonder if it's ground clearance on the car. We pulled one on backwards because the front air dam would have been clipped when pulled...

Towing a car on U-Haul Auto Trailer

Last year, I towed two different Chrysler Conquests on a U-Haul trailer (not the front-wheel dolly.) WHen making the reservations, it asks for the year/make/model tow vehicle and the vehicle going on the trailer. Both times (it was separate trips and rentals) it said I was good to go. I've...
