It's not just charging time though when you're towing. Most chargers seem to be pull-in parking spaces, which isn't going to work well in the majority of towing situations. Now, if they could get battery weight down and my camper had batteries that fed my tow vehicle...
I agree. I had hoped they'd continue with the EcoDiesel until I was ready to trade so there would still be a market for them. But my trade timeframe is way down the road unless something happens.
As a diesel owner, I hope the demand for diesels is still here when it's time for me to trade/sell.
I wonder if this in any way means that the electrified 1/2 ton will definitely have good range and towing capability, as they've been claiming.
This next trip is very short, so yeah, I could cool it down before I even left and drive with it off. But, the info is helpful for future longer trips.
Thanks for the info and yes, that's the tunnel I was thinking of. It's the closest one of any distance (not like the Parkway tunnels) I could think of.
Thanks everyone. Seems pretty unanimous. I'd never heard of the tunnel thing--never saw a sign about it, but then I probably wasn't looking for a sign either. There's a pretty good tunnel between NC and TN. I'll have to see if its one that requires propane to be off.
I've heard both arguments on this. I wonder who here tows with their refrigerator cooling--especially in terms of going to the campsite so its cool when you arrive?
Mine's a three-way that runs on propane/battery/shore power. I've not had a lot of luck running it on battery while traveling, but...
We're paying $1800/year for a 2021 Ram 1500 Limited, 2018 Volvo XC60, 2013 Mazda 3, and 1996 Ford F150. We're with State Farm. We do have a multi-line discount and it's just me and my wife with no claims history. I can't say for sure if it's increased much. The truck came on the policy last...
I'm not sure what sales look like for the 5'7" vs 6'4" but just looking at lots and what's on the road--in my area--the 5'7" is far from being a dying breed. It's like 90/10 around here in favor of 5'7". Our truck is a travel vehicle and a camper puller. I've got a 1996 F150 with an 8' bed for...
Hang around. The people on here are great at helping you find ways to spend your money on your truck! LOL. :p
Check back to this thread in a few months and let us know how much you've spent!

I imagine as a Big Horn, your father's truck would have more payload and potentially a higher tow rating if he's got the 3.92--unless he got the V-6. I've only got experience with my own camper that's 25', but nearly 38' seems like a lot of trailer behind a 1/2 ton. A windy day might make for...
I just did KBB on my 2021 truck. I've only got about 8500 miles. The Private party average was $65K, higher than what I paid. Trade-in was $62K, still higher, but close to what I paid when you add in the cost of my extended warranty, taxes, etc... No plans to sell, though.
It seems to be contagious. There's a thread here on it as well as on a TRX board.

Sedans and coupes aren't really my thing anymore but I'll hand it to them, they didn't just go out and build "another" BEV. They've brought some interesting new elements to this car and it gives me hope that they'll be just as creative with the BEV truck. I know the sound will be polarizing, but...
My 2013 Mazda shows my rolling average fuel economy but it also shows a rolling average MPH, which is kind of handy for seeing if I'm trending towards more city driving versus highway. When I first got the car we took it on longer trips and I think my average speed was about 35mph. Now its like...
