I am annoyed by all the safety features as well. I would say it saved my truck. I was driving and a deer ran across the road and was behind the side mirror blind spot until I saw it pop out and run in front of me. I was going about 40mph. I hit the brakes and my truck braked even harder with the...

Guy died getting out of his SUV without putting the truck in park and it crushed him. So now we have this feature.
The guy entered the truck through the rear slider. If you move the OBD plug and the security bypass plugs Im sure that may slow them down. Im curious about those with the IGLA alarm. Do they install it well under the dash? I ran a stereo shop 25 years ago and a huge part of our business was...
Good thing they didnt get away with your truck. Hope you get a camera system so the police can identify these thugs. The On Board Diagnostics (OBD) unit they used, is it some name brand thing or something off ebay? Im curious if the DHS is aware of these devices and how they are used.
I am getting Sirius XM ads popping up for free trials. Yesterday I started getting a new marketing notification pop up. My Ram Care membership is coming to an end. They want me to renew on the website that doesn't work RamCare.com. That leads to a DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN This site cant be...
My fan seems variable. Likely a PWM setup I assume since there is a sense wire. At normal operation its blowing air but I can hear it ramp up at higher temps. I have yet to dive into HP tuners options and see how its setup with the fan control.
I was really surprised when I first got my truck. The coolant temps were regularly near or slightly above 220 in the summer in Texas. That fan sounded like jet at take off. I could see the heat rising from the cowl. Seems normal for these trucks.
Its all money. A corporation employs engineers and machinists to develop an engine within certain parameters. There's always a budget. Then after its designed they rely on various manufacturers to produce the parts. Some companies may build the parts out of spec or the design might have been...
Id say with todays prices 15K sounds right. Rebuilt engine long block is at least $5k (ATK rebuild) MOPAR will be around $8k plus core. Add intake manifold, oil pan, other parts needed that cant be swapped and labor to remove and strip down old motor and reassemble it can add up fast with todays...

You can always make your own gaskets with EPDM foam and an exacto knife.
I rarely use my slider. If it cracks Im more than happy to take a solid window or a new design that wont crack. This is the Mopar backlite. Plastic and glass just dont expand and contract at the same rate so we get cracks in the plastic.
Factory clear coat is very thin. Only a few mils thick. Think about a sheet or two of paper. Less clear is less UV protection. Cut that clear off and your paint will fail prematurely. I've seen Ferraris with terrible orange peel. When we paint high end paint jobs with mirror flat finishes it...
They hand out drivers licenses like candy on Halloween. Yes pull over and stop on surface streets when safe to do so. Not on a freeway with no emergency lanes. They should know to at least get out of the way. Sure you can slow down but don't impede the emergency vehicles by stopping.
There is a range on those road force balancers. I ask for photos of the resulting data after they have been balanced. Ive seen wheel/tire combos within "range" but still vibrate. Ive also seen many tires that are brand new and need far too much weight to balance out.
I dont know what it is about...
