Hi all,
Quick question: what is the amp output from the etorque system? A typical car alternator is 100-200 amps at 12 volts. WHat is the output of this system? Wondering about running an inverter.
Thanks!
Out of curiosity what is the preferred battery type to switch to? Interstate? I see people are talking about H8 (I think the factory battery is h7). I am also considering lithium ion, wonder if anybody could recommend a brand.
It really seems like some of these batteries are just worse than others.
Got the truck back from the dealer they said it had codes, they cleared them, tested the battery every thing is fine. Wow. I’ll just get a real battery. Awful.
Well, I will probably let the dealer look at it and if they replace the battery, fine. I guess it could be the ground but I think that would have been an issue from the start, not sure why it would show up just now. Probably worth cleaning it anyway. If they replace the battery I may ask them...
Hi guys,
22 Laramie like in my signature. I am approaching 15/16 months of ownership, about 20k miles on it. Been decent the whole time I have owned it. I have no aftermarket electronics anywhere in the vehicle.
Went on a trip with the family and parked the car in a budget airport lot...
It’s one of the most annoying features I have ever had on any vehicle. Why can’t it just work like every other keyless vehicle and state on the dash that the key has left the vehicle?
I thought something was up when I saw a thread about washer fluid and there was 52 replies! Hey, here’s to 52 more cheers 🍻.
That said, I have used the cheapest blue stuff I could find in every car I have ever owned for as long as I have owned them, also in the northern most states in winter...
Yep, and sometimes you’re sitting there for 10 extra minutes because you’ve got to wait for the guy to start filling 4 other cars and then make the rounds to take the nozzles out. On top of that, because none of the union guys want to work at night, the majority of gas stations are closed after...
Hi all,
Bit of a basic 2 part question here. I have an etorque truck, and wonder if the truck is shut down and I am pulling constant power from a 12v outlet, is that coming from my 12v battery or the etorque battery?
Also, I believe I have read about the somewhere but can’t find it now: how...
The two plugs that you have to put together under your dash when you install the running boards: this is the only place where you’re not plugging into a keyed, pre built outlet. I bet one of them is loose or in the wrong slot. Took me a try or two to figure out how to get them correctly in the...
I almost ordered one, but I really wanted the 3.0 inline duramax in the Chevy. They just redesigned it this year it is a great motor. 30 mpg in a truck with all that pulling power is great. And like others have said, electric is a terrible replacement for diesel. Not great on towing range...
Using these trucks for 1/4 mile is an equally bad idea, but if that is the OP’s intent he’s all set. There is no way he’s breaking 105 in the quarter. He will be lucky to get within the 20 mph of that!
Have you considered dropping your spare tire, jack, crowbar etc and putting that stuff in whatever you’re towing? That could net you quite a bit more. I bet 75 pounds or so.
Why would anybody want to take these 6000 pound bricks around a track? I would not try to go faster in one of these things than where it’s governed.
If you want to go fast, you can spend short money on a c5 corvette with an LS motor and have a real screamer with just a little work. Blow...
