Congratulations. The site is an awesome source of information. It is nice to share the ups and downs, the frustrations, and the joys of deliveries with the membership. Surely 1000 members will be reached very soon since this is such a high quality site with some very knowledgeable people.
I had a meeting with my dealership today. I was informed that although my truck is built and in JB status since July 22, I should not get excited if it goes into JS status. All that means is that it is sitting outside waiting for Ramboxes and will go back to JB when the boxes are ready...
I believe you have to keep the loan for at least 3 or 6 months to qualify for that discount. You can always pay it almost all off on the first payment and then make a few payments of $10-20 just to keep the loan open for the required minimum time. Ford used to be at 6 months so I would finance...
I don't know how it works. One possibility is that the order serves as sort of a contract between the customer and producer of a product and the price is guaranteed. Another is that the price is adjustable until the truck hits KZ status and the dealer gets the invoice.
If there is anyone with...
It is now. When I ordered it, it was a $1995 option (hemi was listed as $1195 for an $800 difference) and the trucks on dealer lots with eTorque show $1995 MSRP on the Monroney sticker. The truck with the $2645 eTorque is in transit. Therefore, they jacked up the price by another $650.
You are right in one way about the sitting outside in the elements but Slim (and many of us waiting for our trucks with him) is right that this is ridiculous. FCA has completely failed in communicating truthfully with their dealers and customers. My dealer is in the dark and their computer still...
Don't forget the cooled seats versus ventilated seats. Both of my MBs have ventilated seats which don't cool much when it is 100 degrees outside. My 2012 F-150 had cooled seats that chilled my behind so well I could not keep them on max setting. Here in Texas that comes in real handy.
They'd better honor it.
I am more concerned about issues with the truck. On MOTS it shows most Limiteds going through I status in about 3-24 hours (mine was 4 1/2 days) and JB status, with a few exceptions, in a day or two (mine has been in JB since 7/22).
Just reviewed a window sticker from an incoming 2019 Limited and it shows the price of the eTorque as $2645. It is listed on Autonation dealer in Houston. VIN # ends in KN627783. If this is correct it is another reason for me to walk away. They have already jacked up the level 1 package by $200.
I visited my dealer today and he searched to see if anything like my order (minus the Ramboxes) was available locally or in KZ status. Found an almost exact match (Rambox, tonneau, and 33 gal tank missing but everything else is as I want) on a train heading this way so we'll see if the other...
