    Price negotiated from MSRP

Yeah same here. I decided to just get it anyway the way I want it. 13% off from MD is still pretty ok.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

The bitterness of lower trim level remains long after the sweetness of a lower price is forgotten.

If the 5.7 Hemi goes away in 2024, I'm out of the RAM

EVs are toys for urban virtue signalers. They create more environmental damage and cost more when you start looking beyond the tip of the EV buyer‘s nose. They’re too expensive and less practical than an affordable econobox. I stopped buying Harleys when they introduced liquid cooling. EPA‘s...

If the 5.7 Hemi goes away in 2024, I'm out of the RAM

Taking out the Hemi puts Dodge squarely back into the 300 days. That is NOT a good place. American manufacturers don’t win the econobox war…..even when they look like a Bentley knock off.

If the 5.7 Hemi goes away in 2024, I'm out of the RAM

Newer isnt better. lots of YouTube videos of diesel mechanics talking about how terrible those new diesel motors are. sure I’d like to see a real gen5 HD ram but I don’t want more plastic parts and a more eco-friendly motor that’ll fall apart.

I've been tracking fuel consumption; thought you all might find it interesting

I do the same but for a totally different reason: I always try to have the amount end in “0”. That way when I look at my credit card bill, if I see gas station charges that don’t end in “0” I know my card number’s been stolen. Most common use for stolen credit cards aside from large purchases...

anyone get one of these letters.

Michelle Yang looks like a real lawyer specializing in lemon law. That said it looks like fishing expedition direct-mail marketing campaign by one of those ambulance chaser lawyers looking for plaintiffs to exploit to make the law firm money.

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

Just get BOTH and sell the one you like the least!

Trying to choose between loaded up Backcountry and Laramie Night/ORG

look at it this way - which would you rather have? In my view the price difference between 51k and 54k is not that much. $3k difference on a $50k vehicle is not a huge deal. Buy the one that’ll put a bigger smile on your face every time you get in…. You can’t change trim levels after you buy it.

If the 5.7 Hemi goes away in 2024, I'm out of the RAM

If the Supreme Court overruns Chevron (which is likely), we won’t have to worry about cars and engines getting regulated out of existence by the fun police.

    Any eco-boost converts here?

Don’t forget the Pinto and the Chrysler K cars. Ok forget the Pinto and the K cars.

Spyware opt-out and using your “second” address in CA/VA

the Only mail I ever get from Ram is junk mail. I’ll gladly forward it to someone else’s house.

    Any eco-boost converts here?

The conventional wisdom was that V8’s would “go extinct“ in the 1970’s. And then the 80’s And then the 90’s ……

    The Great Air Dam Debate

Yeah. Probably. At least under the specific test conditions specified by the EPA. Wasn’t there an auto manufacturer that had a couple of “notches” in their fueling curve to pass emissions but give better performance at all other RPMs? I just hope that retraction of the air dam keeps it out...

    The Great Air Dam Debate

I think the active air dam is less about increasing mileage (especially if you already have the stationary one) and more about not getting it caught on curbs and parking blocks when you park. I’ve seen SO many of those fixed air dams (and in one case the whole bumper) get ripped off when...

    Windshield wiper replacement?

Whatever Costco has. cheap + replace often is better than expensive + keep until they’re falling off In this case.

Spyware opt-out and using your “second” address in CA/VA

So on the FCA website you can opt out of some manufacturer spying if you live in CA or VA. Does anyone know of FCA uses the driver’s address or the VIN to associate info? that is, if I use my home away from home in CA to opt out of FCA spying on me and selling my record of habits to whomever...
