What truck do you have? Can u post a pick of what’s u def the rear bumper? Same for the 7 pin.
Usually, the trailer has a 4 or 7 pin plug that connects with the truck’ s receptacle. So, normally, you just need the wiring the trailer comes with.
What r u planning to tow?
I like it...first time I’d even consider the GM.
i like the landscape center screen (and despise those portrait versions that stick up way past the dash).
i also like the console shifter. Less space in the center console, but mine has too much junk in it anyway.
now if it rides well and had a...
2670, will be a better first experience. if you like it, prob not your last TT.
if you can find a used ProPride or Hensley, well worth the $
you’ll have fun either way!
LoL. I’m all for valuing experience. Just when it’s used out of false pride...
BTW, have you heard the story about the retired old Navy steamship master?
One day, an Navy steamer pulls into port, albeit slower than it should. Upon tying up, the Captain calls 2nd Level Support for a problem...
Thx for the info. I have no doubt you heard what you heard from AMSoil, but I do highly doubt what they said. The Borg Warner spec calls for mobilfluid LT, so seems like circular logic. More likely, the guy didn’t know anything more than some story somebody told him, that in reality, wasn’t...
A good quality synthetic hypoid gear oil of the recommended viscosity is fine. If you want, you can go to the 75w-110 in your 3.21, which some use for frequent towing. You could go to -140, but not sure you’d see any benefit beyond the -110.
Truth is, any of them will work, if filled properly...
OK, couldn’t hold my breath too long...
This is from Timken’s Bearing Damage Analysis Reference Guide, 2020.
It is possible the bearing outer ring rotated (slipped) inside the diff case, likely from housing (differential case) bearing seat machining issues. I would guess you would see more...
Thx for the follow-up. Before saying anything, one question to be sure: are the photos with the black marks showing the outer circumference of the outer race of the differential carrier bearings (Pic 2 blue arrows) ?
Seems like that is what they were saying was replaced.
Before I say that...
Put on the Mopar mud flaps a while ago, and am more and more annoyed by the fact that the rears turn into 2 liter water bottles in the rain! Tne morning after I park in the garage after driving in the rain, there’s a large puddle on each side, as the water (painfully) slowly drips out at the...
You know the story here, right?
When Maryland was threatening to secede, Lincoln ensured troops were stationed in Rockville, Annapolis and other sites, totaling >20,000. A new push for secession was to be addressed by the MD General Assembly, which had been trying to remain neutral, with...
LoL....
It could be the previous owner, who knows. But yeah, I’m sure the tech has training in identifying the difference between bearing scar from overload vs defect vs lube failure vs improper install...
Definitely post a pic of what the “tech” thinks is heavy load binding!
Good points. I guess lubricant tech has gotten so good that one fluid can fulfill the requirements of several different older ones.
And I plan on using Red Line MT-LV as well.
Glad you reminded me - didn’t hookup the silly-scope on our 4th of July trip, and forgot when rushing to the grandparents, but will next outing, I promise!
