Okay going to try to explain this best I can. So I have noticed ther last few weeks that when J come to a stop and when I accelerate from a stop that I feel what i can only explain as a stuttering type of vibration. It feels kind of like when towing and that slack feeling you get when coming to...
I have 3.92 and shifts smooth. What is the tsb for brakes groaning. Mine first thing in morning groan when using them the first couple times, is that what that is? If so what is the tsb#?
Okay, i think im going to get one. Now which one? Seems most ppl go with billet or mishimoto, any preference on either. Obviously the mishimoto is more expensive, is it better? Is one easier to install than ther other? Thanks
Okay so this forum is the first ive heard of catch cans and i get the benefits. But could someone explain what happens to all that oil that gets into the crankcase? People are saying they are getting a couple ounces per oil change, it cant just collect in there are you would eventually have a...
For those of you doing your own oil changes. Are you getting 7 qts back from the drain. In our vehicles with the 3.6 pentastar i get almost all 6 qts back. Done 2 changes on my new ram and both times only got about 6.25 qts back. Does some of it just not make it out the drain? Is the MDS...
Okay got mine back this afternoon. They had to order the parts for the tsb mentioned. They also replaced some other mounts on the body and torqued all to spec. Drove about 50 miles already, lots of turns and parking lots, havent heard anything yet, so it seems to be fixed but will still be...
Well i got a voicemail saying it was ready but he didnt say what the fix was, and of course everytime i call he is away from his desk. it seems half the ppl on this thread got it solved with the body mounts and the other half sway bar. maybe ill luck out and they did both. will write back as...
Started to notice the clunk around 4k miles. It was definitely louder and more frequent when i was towing, only 2k lbs, so not sure if the weight made it more pronounced. Took to dealer yesterday and got the "could not replicate". Asked for a ride along and sure enough got it to do it with...
I totally believe the eco light is for the MDS. I have been testing mine and when i shut off the MDS with the gear limiter as mentioned above, I no longer get the eco light ever. I could always make the eco come on but with the MDS off i cant even if i try. So that makes me believe that the...
Cold mine is around 65, once warmed up and driving seems to hover around 52. And idle its around 45. Our 14 T+C with the 3.6 is in the 90s when cold and high 60s when warm, so the 1500 in the 50s seems good to me.
I got the 4x4 crew cab with 6.5 bed and mine is a 2 piece all black, not aluminum. Got mine brand new from dealer. So maybe it is determined by tthe length.
I dont think its the same for every dealer. The dealer closest to me said they put conventional in unless you upgrade to blend, no full synthetic option. The next closest dealer said they put the blend in and the upgrade is full synthetic, and they dont put conventional in at all. So i think...
Just did my first oil change and the thing i noticed was that i only got about 6 quarts that drained back out. I know it takes 7 quarts, so is there that much that is in the filter? I mean the factory filter was a mess getting off so couldnt really judge how much was in there. It's just that...
Had this happen multiple times with previous cars we had, hyundais, and that is why i started doing my own. This is my first brand new vehicle and have contemplated having dealer do the oil changes so i could get updatesand recalls taken care of, that was until i was getting different answers...
