best all terrain tires for stock 2020 ram?

Check out this post. OP originally got the HTs by mistake and then switched to the Conti ATs. He helped me go with the Continentals as well given his experience, and basically said in dry/wet/snow the ATs had similar comfort and performance. I have the HTs and am super happy - they are a great...

    Towing with 22 inch wheels

Glad my opinion helps. I really feel the Contis have no trade off, except maybe tread life as they certainly won’t last as long as my previous Michelins. But the ride is as comfortable or more than the OEM, they’re less squishy and handle better on wet, dry, mid and snow. And if you want...

    Towing with 22 inch wheels

The OEMs are literally car tires. I’m amazed you got that many miles. Any reputable brand not named Goodyear will be enough tire in OEM size. I’m running Conti Terraincontact HT. I have around 10,000km on them and pulled a 7000lb boat for probably 30-40% of that and am down barely over 1/32...

    Foam cannon results

I use Adam’s foaming soap. Same $20 Amazon ****ty cannon. The key is soap concentration in the cannon. I find 20-25% works best for me. Just up your soap! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Tonneau Covers VS MPG Performance

Driving the same route daily for 10 years my 1968 Fargo (3 on the tree 225 slant 6) would reliably gain 2mpg with the tailgate down. It was a brick and very stressed at 65mph. I paid $800 for that truck so probably recouped the value of that truck over several years in gas savings. My 21...

So you want to tow a camper! Discussion thread.

What if you’re over GVWR by 200lb? 500lb? Will the truck suddenly not perform? Will the bearings melt? Suspension fail? Are you liable for damages in a crash? Can your vehicle be impounded if you’re inspected on a highway scale? Perhaps I’m naive or very dangerous, but I think driving an...

    What else in your garage?

I’ve had this baby for 8 years (and 3 Dodge Rams). Prob just keep it forever. 8500rpm redline and most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Still puts a smile on my face every day, even when it snows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

91 vs 87 octane towing performance

I was a huge believer in the 3.92 with my 2010 Ram and the 5 (really 4) speed transmission. With an 8 it’s basically obsolete and you’re just losing the extra overdrive of the 3.21 and the truck will find a gear to match any load between second and seventh with either diff. Nobody is struggling...

91 vs 87 octane towing performance

You guys are convincing me to stick with 91! I save almost $30 a tank filling with Costco 91 vs shell 89 so that’s a no brainer, but next time I’m out on the road pulling I’ll spend the extra $10 for 91 instead of 89. It’s a 90k truck I really don’t mind spending $20-30 a month to keep it...

2021 Ram Limited Night Edition - Right hand drive downunder

Crazy! If I was gonna spend the import markup on a vehicle….this would be it. Enjoy - I went from a ‘17 to a ‘21 and that was a crazy jump. Part of me still wants an srt10. What a special truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cool seeing a rhd Ram. Great spec. Do you mind telling what you paid? Just wondering if there’s a crazy import markup like on German cars there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

91 vs 87 octane towing performance

Just had a really interesting trip towing my boat. I tow a 4000 pound pontoon - so say 5-6000 pounds loaded with gear gas and trailer - but the main issue is it’s a giant wind sail. 3.92 limited with e torque. Anyway I left town, full tank of Costco 91 gas (because it’s cheaper than most other...

    Help with Used Dealer Tricks

Guy is financing 50k at 6%. Do the math. Of course this is just the first year and is decreasing over time, but that’s $10k total interest over 72 months. OP’s second option was 84 months at 8%.....so he might agree to terms like that. With guys making money on trucks these days, overpaying on...

    Help with Used Dealer Tricks

LOL those payments are what I’m paying for my 21 limited. There’s still thousands of new trucks on lots across the country. Just buy a new truck with a fantastic finance rate. You’re spending roughly $3k a year on financing costs. Any guy in a new truck this year is spending $0. Sent from...

My truck ate a mud flap (and more)

Thanks guys. It was in normal height. Should I have the mud flaps repositioned when it’s in the shop? Is this even an option? I expect the repair bill to be well over $3-5k. That’s a lot of damage! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My truck ate a mud flap (and more)

I had what I believe is a extremely unfortunate freak accident, wondering if this has happened to anyone else. My friend was backing my truck into his garage, had to clear a 5-6 inch concrete lip and it appears the mud flap got caught between the concrete and the tire and ripped it off. It also...

Toyo Open Country AT III on 20' Limited with 22"

I had air on my 17 and I thought that was a nice ride but the 21 isn’t even in the same league. I’ll bet the 5th gen suspension can handle the tougher ride better. Aside from the ride and mileage they were the best tires I had ever bought - quiet, amazing grip and tread life. Wasn’t enough for...
