I used a constant 12+ leg on the trailer adaptor to power the lights, they have a switch on them that activates the light (on and off).

Sure they do, you can extend them and they stay out if you want. There is a button for that.

Nothing beats power running boards, the tuck-up flush with the body and extend further than regular rails or bars so short people love them ;-)

Be sure where you mounted the lightbar that when you open and close the tailgate it doesn't make contact with the clips that you mounted the light bar with. I had to strategically place mine along with stand-offs and actually had to put a bit of a bow in the light bar to mount it so it cleared...
