I've replaced mine with the parts you listed, it unfortunately hasn't fixed my clunk. I do think it's better, but it's still there. It's driving me nuts.
Multiple threads about the famous clunk already on here. Try a search. The things you mentioned I have also tried and I still have a clunk I can't track down.
I too am still having the clunk feeling, unfortunately. Described exactly the same as what you're describing. Can you describe where the motor mounts are to check? My truck also has a "rattle" when I'm stopped at a red light, I can feel it in my seat somewhat shaking around. I've read it could...
Just got done rechecking basically everything on my front end. Here’s what I found and I think I finally solved it. After taking a drive and hitting the same speed bumps in my neighborhood that typically caused the clunk, I had no clunks this time.
I found my driver side tie rod end quite...
So I've made other posts about the famous "clunk" sound that a large majority of us have. I've got the new sway bar bushings and the Suspension maxx end links. While those two parts did seem to make it better, I still have a clunk going over speed bumps at low speeds. Crawling around under my...
My truck, 2023 Laramie, also does this when letting off the gas. Sometimes it's significant. Doesn't happen all the time either. Just whenever it feels like it.
Only here to say I've got the exact same issue(s). Mine is a 2023 Laramie, only 5400 miles on it. I too am leveled with the Bils 5100s on the 2.1" setting. I've got the new sway bar bushings and the Suspension Maxx end links. While I do think they helped, the clunk is still present in mine, but...
I'd have to impulse buy a set at that price too if they popped up in my area. I too am not a fan of wheel spacers, but if I found a set of the TRX takeoffs for that kinda steal, I'd probably get over it.
Reading through one of the older posts about vibration issues, some said they upped their tire pressures to 40-42 and noticed a decrease in the vibration. I believe mine are currently set to 38-39. I'm going to increase mine and see if it makes any difference.
True - my tires are brand new though. I thought previously it was my Nitto Ridge Grapplers which I bought used with 10k miles or so on them. So I got rid of those and got a new set of Hankook DynaPros which were a bit less aggressive thinking maybe the tread design was causing it. But the...
I'm taking my truck to the dealer tomorrow - I am told there are certain updates to the computer or something that can be pushed through which could fix vibration issues. Something to do with certain shift points or something. My local discount tire road-forced balanced mine and swear they are...
They won't be. I've installed some running board lights and tied direct into the turn signal trigger wire on the headlights, no issues. If you are concerned, you could always put a relay in. Use the signal wire just as the trigger wire for the relay. Relays draw very little MA's.
To stir this up, the sway bar bushings did NOT fix my clunk. I ended up putting the Suspension Maxx end links on and those fixed my clunk by about 95%. I still will get smaller clunks occasionally, but not as bad after putting the end links on.
I'm not familiar with the OPT7 lights, but very familiar with 12v wiring. What trigger wires do you have with the OPT7 lights, what functions are you wanting to run?
I'm still in the same boat. Discount tire has roadforce balanced my wheels/tires 3 times, assuring me they are balanced. I noticed today that I have a significant shake at 44 mph, then it goes away as I speed up and then I notice a shake again around 57 mph. it is very frustrating. There has to...
