They did "survey" the vehicle. He figured out it has rain sensing wipers and suggested when they've tinted them in the past it has caused them to behave erratically. I've been using this shop for tint for over a decade and would like to think they have some idea what they're doing, but anyone...
I had my front windows tinted recently, but they told me they can't put a brow tint on the windshield due to the rain sensing wipers. Is this correct? I figured they'd tint in 2 pieces, one on the left up to the camera housing and one on the right in the same way and avoid all the sensors...
Its sad that FCA can't confirm they have techs that can even do the basics.
My truck's headlights turn on whenever there are some clouds in the sky...dimming the dash and 12.4" screen to the point they're unusable. Ridiculous on a $72000 truck.
Anyone should have been able to see the bolsters aren't leather...that does suck as 3 different dealerships and 3 different sales people all told me the seats were 100% leather. They didn't just dream that up. It has to have been fed to them by FCA marketing materials.
Ram Cares seems to have...
Called my dealer. This update, RRT 19-094 was applied to my truck at PDI 11/27/2019 so it's not the update they've been talking about (if that even exists) and doesn't correct the issue...at least not for me.
Many trucks left the factory without the auto-dim headlights enabled in the BCM. Your dealer will correct it with a reconfigure. They're likely tied together in the BCM. Mine needed it, others have reported the same thing and every truck on the dealers lot needed it here. 10/19 build date on...
Ehhh...maybe....seems like it's always "it'll get better after XXXX miles"
I'll dump the break in oil around 3K miles and put full synthetic in it which may help....or not. I'm used to 22 MPG. If this gets 17-18 it'll cost me $500-ish more a year to drive it. I'll just work a little harder. :)
This sucks, but honestly, the dealer bought you off for a couple hundred dollars. If you're happy with that, that's OK. I'd be pretty upset about it especially after a year of no satisfaction.
Leasing 101 is do not put your cash into the lease as a "down payment". All you're doing is buying the payment down. Keep your money in the bank and use it to offset the payment amount each month.
When leasing cars first started back in the late 80s. I was the first F&I guy in our area to...
I don't want a badge. I can't tell my truck has etorque. Even driving one without and then one with I couldn't feel anything different. Mileage isn't great either way.
If you don't register for a Lemon Law claim today, you're just wasting time. They've demonstrated they can't or won't correct the issue. There is nothing left to do. You have been *far* more patient than I'd have been.
