    Price negotiated from MSRP

Always a crap shoot on ordering, timing of delivery, etc. You'll probably be ok...but a respectable sales person will tell you, here is the maximum you'd pay if you ordered... If we are talking on the lot trucks, always put your offer in % off from MSRP. If you go back through these threads...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Generally speaking, at least here in the US, a dealer can't "lock in" your rebates until time of delivery. So...you risk not getting them on an ordered truck, or could possibly get a better incentive, it all depends on the timing. % off MSRP is the way to look at it for those on the lot...

For the secret society - Black paint - front quarter panel?

Telling you something you already know, but if Ram is doing it for other trucks, they should do it for all that ask for it to be fixed. It was a 3 day thing for me, from drop off to pickup, they paid for the rental car, etc. Repainted them with the same paint as the rest of the truck...voila...

For the secret society - Black paint - front quarter panel?

They must only be doing those pieces then, as the rest of the grill, bumper housing, fender trim, etc. are all the correct color, matching the truck. You'd think they would realize their issue and bring the parts in to do the painting within the same paint code and batches.

I can’t figure out how to extend the steps manually without opening the doors?

Yes, good point, this car wash has the dual swing arms that extend out quite a way and spray water toward the truck. The steps don't go out much more than the mirrors, so I'd guess if you have to fold your mirrors in, you would not want to extend the steps.

For the secret society - Black paint - front quarter panel?

Sorry, can’t help ya, #ALLBLACKDODGERAM!! Just joking, that would drive me nuts. Must be something different with those panels vs. the rest of the plastic parts on the fender flares, Rambox, etc?

For the secret society - Black paint - front quarter panel?

Well, they painted it for free, so I never worried about them admitting it, but the lady at the collision center could see what I was seeing.

I can’t figure out how to extend the steps manually without opening the doors?

This forum is awesome, thanks! Found it. Not sure the manual does a good job explaining this, nor is that intuitive to go there, but I’ll pin that surround cam, or backup cam to the bottom of the UConnect screen and can access it with one button click.

For the secret society - Black paint - front quarter panel?

Dealer warranted the paint issue and repainted them to match, so much better now!

I can’t figure out how to extend the steps manually without opening the doors?

I’ve asked this question in another thread, but can someone show me on the UConnect screen of a 1500 Limited how I can manually put out the power side steps please? Today I read the owners manual as I sat in the line at the car wash. I can store them, or deploy when the doors are open, but I...

Let’s see those Shift knob decals

I’m set! Love how this just took the chrome on the shifter down a bit and this is what they should have called the black appearance group anyway. First picture is it in Park, second picture is level for me as I have it in Drive. Figured more folks riding would see it level as I drive than...

What's the No. 1 thing that disappointed you the most about your truck ?

#2 I'll have to search, read the manual several times...did it on my GMC... #6 Have to check again, if mine is equipped; Automatic Doors Unlock — If Equipped This feature unlocks all of the doors of the vehicle when either front door is opened. This will occur only after the vehicle has been...

What's the No. 1 thing that disappointed you the most about your truck ?

My biggest disappointment is that I didn't make the switch to Ram from GMC sooner... But, here are my run on minor items; E85 use would be nice (not in my area, but would be good for others) in mid-west. When taking calls in Ram, option to have UConnect turn down heating/AC fan, for noise...

    Tonneau Cover Pics

Interesting, my tri-fold soft cover works well...never had an issue of flapping, normal water enters in near corners of tailgate, but other than that, it has held up well. Suffice to say I'm still getting a Retrax Pro MX added to my truck, so if anyone wants a soft, tri-fold cover, IM me with...

    install retrax pro mx?

May be just personal preference, I liked the matte black look vs. shiny black...I also figured if I had any snow and ice build up, the aluminum would be more sound for me.

    install retrax pro mx?

The plot thickens...Retrax said they don't think those black rails will work. They provided me the same part numbers that you have above and I've sent a note to the Ram dealer to confirm and if so, will also order up to get it installed.

    install retrax pro mx?

I called Retrax yesterday and they said the "silver rails" note was for 2018 trucks and older. Retrax doesn't mention this on their ordering page, it just says, "standard rails w/out stake pockets". She said it didn't matter what colored rails I have now, it will fit my truck...
