Hey all,
I see a lot of reviews/opinions pushing people to get the 5.7L over the 3.6L because the "mileage and cost isn't that different". I bought the 3.6L because I plan on having the truck well past 200,000 miles, and I thought it would be interesting to see the cost difference during that...
I rarely see a Hemi owner claim they get 20+ mpg on anything other than highway. Usually 17-18 on a good day. I'm at 15,000 miles and sitting at 21-22 on my V6 over 50/50 driving. Really happy.
Hahaha. I watched it too, and it was NOT an exciting video to watch. The 2.7L F150 pulled the same trailer no problem. The 3.6L definitely can't pull 7,500 pounds uphill consistently, but for 5,000-6,000 it's got plenty of power.
I have the V6 4x4 Crew Cab with the 3.55 axle ratio. It's not a rocket ship, but it has enough power to not be frustrating. It definitely will pull if you punch it, but it can't compare to the Hemi. I'm happy with my V6 and the MPGs
Yeah I was pretty shocked when I drove the 2.7 EcoBoost since it's considered a "comparable" engine to the 3.6L. It's significantly more powerful at low RPMs. That being said, Ram destroys Ford in interior quality so I'll take the trade-off haha
I've driven the previous gen 3.6L and it was generally a better experience (probably because there were less computer algorithms running). With that in mind, I still think this new 3.6L is a great engine
Hey Ram crew,
Thought I would drop in and give my two-cent review on my 2019 Ram Big Horn 3.6L ETorque since there just isn't a ton of information available on this V6 powertrain.
A little background on why I bought the 3.6L instead of the 5.7: I used my truck for general utility purposes and...
Thanks for the heads up. Can you post a link to the flowmaster 40 that you bought? That's what I've been looking at getting. Center inlet, offset outlet?
Mark,
I'm 90% sure that a Pedal Commander will fix your problem. Put it on "sport mode" and you'll notice immediate throttle response.
I had the same issue, paid $279 for a pedal Commander and have had no issues since. It's a great product, installs in like 30 seconds, and doesn't void any...
Thanks. It looks like from those images that it's a center inlet, offset outlet at about 3in.
I looked at the FlowFX but it seems like a lot of Hemi owners say it's barely louder than stock. If I go ahead with the Flowmaster 40 Delta Flow I'll post an update with the results. Probably just...
Hey all,
I know 90% of muffler swaps on Rams are on the 5.7 but for the special minority of us that have the 3.6L I haven't been able to find anything about exhaust/muffler single exhaust swaps.
Does anyone know what the inlet/outlet is for the 3.6L? I'm looking at the Flowmaster 40 Delta Flow...
Looking on YouTube has older model Pentastars using the flowmaster super 40. It sounds good. I'm also looking to buy one but haven't found any 2019 examples.
Great looking truck! Iike the paint a lot. I agree about the parts breaking... It was the original reason I was looking at Big Horns in the first place. I've heard horror stories about Laramies and up having electrical problems (since they are so loaded with tech).
And I got the leather seats...
I started with MAS but ended up sending the quote to a local dealer and he beat it by almost $4,000. I don't feel like I got bad deal at all, but after I got it I started to notice that the Laramie was about the same price as my big Horn after all the upgrades I put on it.
