I think the top 3 most common issues are:
-Leaky rear window/3rd brake light. Pretty sure this problem persisted into ‘21 and possibly is still a problem.
-Lifter/Cam failure
-Exhaust manifold bolts breaking
And a bonus one that’s not a failure but it is something kinda annoying, is the AC...
It depends what suspension you go with; if you just add the standard 4” spacer that comes with the lift kit then yes the front of the truck will be an inch taller than a standard 1500 with a 4” lift. If you opt for coilovers then the truck will be the same height regardless if it’s a rebel since...
Hey man I’m just jumping in because boogielander tagged me. I have 37s so I can tell you what you need. First of all I’m sure you know 2500s and 1500s are 100% different up front & the 2500s ride a good 3 inches taller than the 1500s. Also the 2500s have a slightly narrower track width as well...
I’m pretty sure you’ll need a spacer but I’m not positive. You can run up to a 3/4” and replace the factory studs with longer ones or above 3/4” would be an adapter. I think I’ve seen people run 1.25” spacers minimum and not have to trim or replace their factory studs. 1.25” adapter would place...
I mounted mine on the bed rail so I could still use them as camping lights when my bed cover is up. If you’re using small lights like S2s or S1s (maybe even squadrons) you can probably just bolt them directly to the plastic (like I did). But if you’re running heavier lights like my Lasfit pods...
Well I looked a little more and I noticed that the 2.0 versions for 4” and 6” kit have the same compressed length but the 6” kit has 1.75” longer extended length. I feel pretty confident saying both kits probably use the 2.5 shocks designed for the 4” kit. They can get away with the 6” kit not...
Haha well I really appreciate that! That would be great to know for sure. Weirdly the Fox 2.0s come in 2 different sizes for the 3”, 4” and 6” kits but it kinda seems like the 2.5s are the same for 4” and 6”
Oh wow, no kidding?? That’s crazy because that one actually is a different part number. But I guess if the shocks for the 0-2 inch lift are basically the same size as the 5” ones then that means they’ll probably work fine with 3.75” rear lift like my truck has. Thanks for that info!
Hey guys I figured I’d revive this thread to not only offer some info but maybe one of you could clarify something for me also.!
BDS is offering 20% off everything right now, so I decided to finally buy the Fox 2.5s front and rear; I wanted the 6” Performance Elite coilovers up front and the 4”...
Well, not exactly today but it was this week. Took my pavement princess out on 90 miles of trails and it was a blast! Absolutely chugged fuel tho lol I think I drained about 15 gallons in 90 miles
Dude you have like 5 posts in a row hating on the truck and this guy’s decision…it’s childish. He’s not asking for your opinion, nor is he using your money, so you shouldn’t be so hellbent on telling him he overpaid or what you don’t like about his truck. And on top of that, who in their right...
