One thing I've noticed in this truck - and has been noted many times throughout this thread - gas mileage drops off significantly after 65mph, particularly since I have the 3.92 gear. Cruise control also murders mpgs. What kills it most for me is our lack of any flat ground here in the KY hill...
I plan on upgrading my exhaust when the salt finally leaves the roads in March. I've listened to a thousand exhaust videos. I'm typically a Corsa man but wanted to maybe change it up this time. Borla is out because of the fitment issues and rolled tips. I looked into B2 Fab and I love the sound...
Bumping this thread as I'm considering the Rugged Treks, too. How are they holding up @OC.13? Anyone else also tried these? I love the look of the Duratracs but hate how they sound after wear. These look incredibly similar and I love Cooper tires.
Good luck. LED bulbs cause keyfob issues on these trucks. It varies by brand and truck - there's no rhyme or reason. Some trucks never have an issue and some have issues every day. I tried two different brands and neither worked so I had to replace mine with the full unit from Recon.
It isn't full leather like the Longhorn or Limited - more like a leatherette. But that Chemical Guys product should be just fine on it. Although I've found the best thing for dashes is often just a wet microfiber rag. Too much moisture on the dash from cleaning products can cause early fading...
Love my Ram. Best truck I ever owned. But, there's no excuse to not offer the 6.4 in the 1500. The only thing I miss from my Chevrolet is the 6.2/10spd which is, frankly, much superior to the 5.7/8spd. More power and better gas mileage. Financially it balances out because of the cost savings on...
I would say the gasket is thick enough myself. It's much thicker than gasket on the OEM unit. We'll see how it holds up but we did receive quite a bit of heavy rain turning to snow last night and everything inside is dry as a bone.
Well... I did it. I'm really pleased with it. We'll see how the key fob does tomorrow. That seal is thicccccc which makes me feel better anyways. Took some effort to get it flush and I probably overtightened everything but it looks good to me. Adds some character to the cab. Thanks for all the...
I'm going with the motofab level but I'm torn. I'm thinking either the 2.0 front or the 2.5 front with the 1.0 rear. How level is your 2.5? I was afraid of mine being too nose high at that height.
Would you say the Bilstein 5100 on clip 5 are closer to 2" or 2.5" up front? I thought about going with the Motofab 2.5" front and 1" rear to achieve a similar look to yours. @PaHydroRam
That's HOT. I really wanted Hydro Blue but they stopped building hydro Laramies and I didn't want to pay higher than new for a used truck. Yours looks absolutely incredible.
Unfortunately, it comes down to the bean counters. Is the cost of a permanent fix worth it over the span of millions of trucks? Same reason the rear windows still crack, and GM isn't stop-selling trucks despite massive lifter issues, and Ford have ignored some demons in the Ecoboost for years...
