From my experience, it performs much better then my 2015 Silverado did in deep snow.
I'm going to add sand bags in the bed this year, which should further improve rear traction I think.
Mine comes on if you close it with reasonable force. My dealer of course said "no problem found". I have to kinda slam it for the warning to not come on.
My truck has done the same some times. I use a Samsung note8. I believe I was using android auto at the time.
Another issue is the volume being stuck in one position. I can turn the volume knob and it shows the volume going up on the screen, but it does nothing. It sounds like its using the nav...
It is most likely a dealer installed immobilizer. If that's the case, you most definitely paid for it! Check your paperwork. They like to sneak those in along with perma plate paint protection among others.
Mine came with Mopar wheel locks. They are pretty nice units with a ring around them to "prevent" pounding a socket on them to spin them off. Not sure they would keep a persistent thief away however.
