Why replace it with the same exact thing that will only warp again??? This is why I have stayed clear of a truck with Ram Boxes. RAM should have fixed this issue years ago:(
You got lucky and congrats! They have not done that to all that are having the issue. This is a good precedent for others to follow.
Just understand, the new one will do it again too as they have made no changes to the dash that would prevent it from happening in the future.
When you remove the plastic knee plate under the steering column, there is a sheet metal screw right at the top upper left (behind the knee plate) attached the metal frame of the dashboard that provides an awesome ground and its right adjacent to the fuse panel for easy access to all connections.
Buy what you think is best. I've been doing this for over 35 years and I have my own insights on quality and performance. Your money...your truck ;) For me, it will always be a Blackvue.
SUPER EASY to get power off of F66 in the fuse panel with a simple fuse tap. The fuse panel is under the steering column. Just remove two 7mm screws and the knee plate pops right off for easy access. To run across the headliner and down the A-Pillar to the fuse panel will take you 10 minutes...
OK...two things:
1. yes, a blend mount will fit. I had my radar detector attached to both my 2019 and 2021
2. you do NOT want to get power from your mirror. You will lose all parking mode capabilities and the 750X has power management circuitry built in to protect your battery
