Took my truck to the beach last weekend, aired down at the entrance before I realized the whole drivable area was hardpack...oh well. Also test drove a '16 Shelby F150 today out of curiosity, had 37s installed and was the variant without the supercharger, so it was slower and way worse to drive...
Went on a mud-filled adventure this weekend - aired down and had a ton of fun. Only casualty was the front license plate bracket...again. Video of some splashing and drifting around below; you can see how often TC kicks in despite being 'off' when the brake lights illuminate.
The weakest part of our trucks: the front license plate holder. I've now knocked off 3 of them while off-roading in two different Rebels (2x on mine, once on a rental). They catch and rip off so easily - on a truck that is built to off-road with a beefy skid plate, you'd think RAM would put on a...
If you find yourself up in DFW for any reason, great place called Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport that I've taken my truck to several times. You could always go drive on the beach in Galveston?
I've had dip on mine for over a year now and I've only touched it up once after an offroad trip. It has held up extremely well through multiple washes, mud coverings, etc. Got a bit shredded underneath when my skid plate did its job while offroading, but its not noticeable unless you go...
Anyone ever spend time using the truck for what its not meant for - spirited driving? This quarantine has got me stir crazy so my release of choice is going for spirited drive down some twisty, technical forest backroads near me. As I don't have an extra sports car in my garage, I pretended the...
Love it! I've never experienced that but when something like that happens its usually because I'm inadvertently sitting on my key fob or something is pressing up against the button. I'm sure you'd have noticed...but thats the only thought I have.
Ahh sorry - should've disclaimed those photos were while it was soaking wet. Bumper is the usual bumper - the emblem and skid plate were plastidipped, everything else is as it was when I bought it new. Dry photo below for reference with one of the chips showing a few weeks ago.
I have to assume some road debris but the paint was chipping away when hit with the power washer from about a foot away..paint seemed pretty thin when I ran my finger over it. Seems odd how brittle it is.
Has anyone noticed the paint on the front bumper of their Rebel chipping off? I've got about 16k miles on my truck and when washing it yesterday, noticed paint chipping off. At first I thought that was my plastidipped section coming off (did the skid plate), but then I realized that was the...
I've read in some other posts on here that removing the skid plate is hell...so unless that is $100 to do it on your truck, it may be much more cost/effort.
Not a white truck, but I plastidipped mine black as well as the front emblem. This was right after I did it, but I've had it on for almost 10 months now and have only done some minor touchups on it. I took it heavily offroading twice so it got pretty cut up where the skid plate did its job, but...
Super simple - program the same way you would a garage door opener as your truck's instruction manual states. Program one button to the open button on the fob, and another button to the close on the fob. Takes like 90 seconds total.
I referenced this guy's video on an older Ram, but same...
Will do in the next day or two - I have to replace mine anyway as it has failed after only a year unfortunately. Started having issues with it not opening/closing so QTP suggested I test it with the wired toggle and that worked meaning that the wireless receiver is failing. Disappointing but it...
I opted for the wireless controller so I didn't have to drill any holes or have a hard installation. The wireless module is mounted via velcro in the back of the pedal box and I have wireless fobs. I programmed the fobs to my homelink buttons as well. I definitely prefer it this way.
Has anyone had any luck with a larger bulb that 42mm? I squeeze the clamps tighter around the 42mm bulb but still it rattles and loses contact after a day or so of driving.
