I think someone hit a good point with the gateway module being the cause. It is encrypted on 2018s. Could be some type of situation its not waking up with the command. Reason it works soon after is its not fully asleep.

Back wall. Its is the main hub for the truck. It handles the starting and door locks and the TPMS. Could be possible its is the issue. I had recommended to someone a long time ago their trucks intermittent start issues and tpms issues to tell the dealer to replace that and it fixed their issues.
