I'm getting ready, in the next couple weeks, to put the Readylift 2" level with upper arms on my ORP truck. Seems to be the best bang for the buck.
Also picked up a set of 20" Laramie polished wheels to put on mine. Going to throw a set of 305/55 or 295/60 tires on it. Just not sure which, or...
I know what the difference is, but does anyone run the 33x12.50 on the stock 20" wheels? Or does everyone run the metric sizes instead? And why do you prefer one over the other?
Seems the 33x12.50's run a little cheaper than the metric sizes, but I'm not sure they will fit with the control arm...
I found the Flowmaster FlowFX for our trucks on eBay for 229....
The other day I got a 15% off coupon from eBay and bought the muffler... Got it for 194 shipped... Should have it in a couple days, them installed this weekend hopefully.... I'll let y'all know!.... If I remember to....
But is yours an Off Road? There lies the difference.... The ORP comes with a 1" lift. By adding the 2" RC spacer, his truck would be at 3".... Therefore needing the control arms. You can get away without them at 2", but at 3, you really should do arms.
Just put a leveling kit on it. The front struts and rear springs are different than non off road ones. If you put a leveling spacer on the front, it will raise it the amount specified, just like a non off road. I would suggest upper arms also.
That's what I thought, but I've been reading so much lately, trying to ready myself to order stuff for the new truck, that I think I confused myself... Lol
Just to clarify, Off Road Package equipped trucks with a 2" leveling kit, actually have 3" up front... Correct?
Because of the front strut difference in the ORP and regular truck. I'm just verifying before I order a 2" lift instead of the 3".
Guess I should've read your signature...lol
Any idea how big of a tire will fit with that 2"? I'm picking up some of the 20" polished Laramie wheels to use. I'm just thinking about some 33x12.50's. I know they'll clear, but debating about going taller.
Just a couple of questions...
Picking up a new level 2 Big Horn with the ORP, and was wanting to do at least a level. I don't really want a total lift kit, but I'm concerned with the angles of everything since it already has the factory 1" lift. Will 2" spacers and upper control arms do it...
Ya, I'm really looking for some Laramie polished 20's.... And I'll go with whatever tire size I feel for the look I want. The problem with the 18's, is that the 275/70's just aren't enough bigger than the stock 275/65's that come on the truck. I'd probably go with a 285 or 295... I like the...
I've looked around with no luck...
I'm thinking of machining some 1" spacers for the front of my off road package truck. I don't need much, I just want to eliminate some of the rake, and make room for a little bigger tire. Thinking 1" on top of the ORP wouldn't be too much on the ball joints...
