And in the next breath he tells you he's never going to service his trans. I had heard about the Pentosin. I figured for 6 qts for $100 on Amazon of the ZF/Mopar stuff it just made sense to go that route.

The only trans I've ever personally seen last more than 150k was in my father's 2006 Ram 2500 with the cummins. Hardly any towing, AmSoil used from 20k in miles on, heat-sink billet pan with drain and fill at regular intervals. I believe it went out at 200k. Trans shop was blown away by the fact...

You can. But conveniently most warranties only go up to 100k in miles. So if you believe it's fill and run for life? Go for it. A new 8HP is like $5k for the trans alone. I can tell you what came out of mine at 60k along with what was stuck to the magnets in the pan makes me think otherwise...

I'd like to know this as well too being the drain plugs on the ZF trans pans are not supposed to be reusable.

Well the "Mopar Borg Warner" fluid is in fact $45 a quart. It used to be cheaper. The Spirax you shared is in-fact, the t-case fluid for one of them. I cannot remember whether its the AWD/auto t-case or the selectable 4WD t-case. Mopar does list that as the equivalent. But as you said, they...

That's not the correct fluid and its a 55 gallon drum. I believe the Spirax is what they use in the Borg Warner T-cases. Ravenol is the manufacturer of the ZF fluid, based on my research. I could be wrong. There is no easy way around this.

Why do they insist on 22” rims on limited?

BF KO2s and never look back. Yes they are pricey but going from the Wranglers to them was night and day for me.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe this exists. PPE makes a billet pan with a removable filter. Dorman, I believe, makes a plastic re-pro with removable filter as well. The problem is, to change the filter, you need to remove the pan anyway. The PPE and I think Dorman as well have the...

    3" factory rake?

First off, that looks great. Perfect with the wheels, tires, and stance. This basically solidifies I'll be setting the front to 2" and calling it a day.

    3" factory rake?

So I think it's safe to say I should just set the Bilstein 5100's to the 2" notch and call it a day?

That's on-par with what you'll see for the transmission. I've done it myself. The pan/filter on it's own is $275 or so. Then the fluid is $26 a qt last I checked. For what they did, it's not a terrible deal. Especially if they did the trans too.

    3" factory rake?

That looks really good. I guess with that being the case, I'll only set the rings in the front to go maybe 2" or so. Also, looking at the instructions, I can't go any higher than that. So looks like 2" it is.

    3" factory rake?

This is actually my concern. I am going to the old "measure twice, cut once" and measure it a couple more times before I get started. I'd actually like to make sure I leave just a little rake like you said.

    Truck has 50k miles 2022 ram 1500 E torque

Possibly sensors. Those start malfunctioning you get really weird things with timing and the truck would shake and/or run really rough.

Why do they insist on 22” rims on limited?

Aesthetics. As everyone said. It just works on that truck. I don't like that look but I will say, they got it right.

    3" factory rake?

I am about to do 5100 Bilsteins on my Rebel with 65k. Stock shocks and struts are basically done. Doing the pre-measurements, I am coming up with 3" of rake with the factory shocks/struts/springs. Does this seem right? The goal with the 5100's is to level the front. Level pavement, measured...

    2020 RAM 1500 75K Miles Engine or MGU Whine/Noise??

This is sort of baffling. There's only a few culprits: Etorque (start/stop generator alternator) Belt Tensioner Pulley Idler Pulley Coolant Pump AC Compressor Did they check the last two on the list? They've been known to make noise. I had an AC compressor make noise on another vehicle. The...

    Whine from my e-torque

The etorque is the alternator on those trucks. You'll hear a lot of confusion when they order the parts. Some will tell you "alternator" some will say "start stop generator." The reality is the etorque is both the alternator and start stop generator. In short, your etorque is getting getting...

Did they say if it was the e-torque? Or was it something else?
