2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

That is actually pretty cool but what they SHOULD have is a dipstick AND that. It will be a long time for me (hopefully) as I plan to drive my 2019 till it dies. Who knows where the world will be then. Hopefully that's much later than sooner lol.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Humor me here....how do you even check your oil then? You just fill to spec and pray?

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

You might be right. It's just unfortunately, a trend that seems to be unstoppable. I, probably like you, come from the generation of not even being able to conceive of not offering a V8 option in a half-ton. When the NA V6 options came out, I could understand that. Maybe someone who just does...

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Lemon Ram PTSD. Input please.

I think it's a combo of both. You're not wrong. I only go to the same 2-3 stations most of the time. I honestly haven't had the issue (knock wood) in a very long time. Other times, at stations I don't normally go to, it happens to the point where you almost can't fill the tank. It definitely...

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Correct me if I'm wrong but you work in a dealership right? Just wanted to point this out because I tend to more stock into what you (and others similar to you) say. I'm right there with you. I don't even know what to say to the no oil dipstick. I'm only 40 but I'm one of those guys now who...

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

And Ram might be the ONLY manufacturer to offer NO-V8 option in 2025. Mind-boggling. It almost begs to wonder if they just finally pissed the EPA off too much with the SRT, Hellcats, and TRX's.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Timely video LOL This is another good one: "You would think the sheer amount of blown Ecoboost engines I've teared down on this channel that I've seen it all..." LOL

    31K miles engine torn apart

Makes me feel a little better but there are still 2016+ 5.7L hemis with the issues. There's been a couple 2019's that are high enough mileage to manifest the problem.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

I can respect individualized opinions. You're entitled to it. I get as about excited for the 2025 Rebel as I do thinking about doing my taxes.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Tech has changed...but not. The problem, and it's not just the vehicle manufacturers fault, it's the EPA. Look at our NA trucks. 203 degree thermostat, active grill shutters, and guys are seeing temps near 230 in the summer. It's emissions + forced induction=big problems. The majority of...

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

I don't think we have a prayer of the V8. But maybe you're right? You never know. It was surprising to see Mopar do a complete 180 from their prior stance. Even Ford, the company that broke the ice with turbo gas motors in the F-150 is still showing the V8 as an option for 2025. To see a company...

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

You're right. I misspoke. I do like the I-6 configuration better. Still loathe anything not normally-aspirated for longevity.

2025 Ram 1500 First Drive: No More Hemi

Well, I may catch heat for this but...the most underwhelming and quite frankly, disappointing "refreshes" I could have expected. Exterior: At least they didn't completely destroy the looks. The Rebel now is just mild, at best. It used to be that when you saw a Rebel it screamed "wow, that's...

Lifter tick or exhaust manifold? 2019 Rebel

They might still cover it. My dealer service rep explained to me that anything replaced/addressed under the original factor warranty usually carries through. Two examples: - I brought my truck to them for multiple leaks when it was brand new. They checked the rear glass, 3rd stop light, drains...

REBEL DRIVERS SIDE REAR TRUCK BED DROOP

This was my first guess. If it's an air suspension truck, especially with some miles on it, a corner might be done/ruptured.

    Clunk no-more

From my understanding, the opening to slip them over the bar should point towards the front of the truck. As for the brackets, I'm not sure. But I believe I read somewhere on line that the front and rear bolts actually have different torque specs? I could be wrong. What I will say is the...

    Clunk no-more

Sorry, ended up really busy with work. I am going to have to measure my sway bar with calipers and get back to you. I have a 2019 Ram Rebel and it seems that there might have been a change in sway bar size. Only way to know is probably to measure your sway bar diameter. Then I can get you the...

    31K miles engine torn apart

Not to rain on your parade, but no, no redesign on the lifters/bearings. There's a good video on YouTube from a guy who seems to work mostly on hemis and the part number from the pre-5th gens for the lifter, into the 2021 (at least) is the same. Here is the video:

Check for sludge in your Radiator overfill (5.7 Hemi)

Mine was low around that mileage. I added and now it's been fine. Mind you, I added the correct 10 yr 150,000mi 50/50 pre-diluted coolant from Mopar which is now, a different color (OK to mix the colors). My theory on the gunk and low coolant: - First off, these are semi-open systems. Lots of...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Might as well make it super dark I suppose.
