The rear is just a spacer on top of the coil. It may work with airbags but how do the bags mount to the spring perch on top? Just rest against the top or bolt?
I also wonder if 17" rims would even fit over the massive brakes. Maybe go 18's.
I probably have the bare minimum on a factory off road package truck with 35's. Basically a level kit. Just the 1.5" strut extension and Upper Control Arms from the ReadyLift 3.5" SST kit. 35x12.50x20's on 20x9 +1mm Fuel Blitz rims. The rim offset makes a huge difference. Minor adjustment to...
Remove the spacer. I installed just the strut extension and Upper Control Arms to fit 35x12.5x20's on 20x9 +1mm Fuel Blitz rims. The ride is unchanged and no noises. Couldn't be happier with the change. Stock measurements were 22-1/4" front 24-1/2" rear. Front is now 23-3/4". Minor adjustment to...
The Dodge website shows your particular trucks payload and towing capability by VIN. Wish other companies would do this.
Click on Lookup My Vehicle and enter your VIN. https://www.ramtrucks.com/towing-guide.html
Attached is your truck.
Shouldn't have bounce in the rear like you're describing. Is the trailer new? Tires with uneven wear can get a trailer bouncing and a WD hitch too tight can make it bouncy too as there is no give in the hitch. Check trailer tires closely and run the hitch a little looser. On a trailer that light...
From what I've read on here and other pages, you'll want at least 3-4" of total lift (including 1" from factory) to run a 12.5 on a negative offset rim. I was originally going with Fuel Warriors in a -12mm offset but decided to go +1mm so it wouldn't stick out as much (no fender flares) and less...
Installed a ReadyLift 1.5" strut extension and Upper Control Arms (parts from 3.5" SST kit) and 35x12.50x20 BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KO2' on 20x9 +1mm Fuel Blitz rims. Didn't install the 2" front or rear spacers as I have the North Edition with factory 1" lift.
I'll try and keep this brief as I'm typing from a cell phone.
Truck is a 2019 RAM 1500 crew cab 4x4 North Edition with Trailer Tow group.
Factory tires are 275/55/20 Falcon Wildpeak At's
Stock measurements from center hub to fender: 22-1/4" Front and 24-1/2" Rear
Ordered the Ready Lift 3.5"...
As it should since most trucks have about 1.5" of rake from the factory and you're lifting the front 1.5" higher than the rear. Now the question remains, is that 3.5" on top of the factory 1" lift too much for the CV axles?
Keep in mind the 4.5" is compared to a stock, non-North Edition truck. We already have a 1" factory lift with longer springs so adding a 1.5" top hat and 2" preload spacer would be 3.5" of lift but 4.5" total if you add that 1" factory lift. They say 3.5" of total lift is the max you want to go...
That's my dilemma, it would only lift the front 1.5" without the spacers but still 2" in the rear making the rake if more unlevel. Thinking I will just install the full kit, not off-roading the truck.
It's actually 2" of the lift as the top hat spacer is only 1.5". They say installing the full lift kit on a North Edition truck leads to a total of 4.5" of lift over stock which puts the CV shafts at a steep angle causing premature failure. Haven't heard of one yet.
Did you measure your rim hub...
