1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Bought new by my dad and step-mom, given to me in 2004 as my first car. I’ve had a 2007 Grand Cherokee SRT8 and a 2010 Grand Cherokee 3.7L since then, but both of those are gone now. Still have the ZJ, but it was time for something more reliable. Don’t think I’ll ever...
I will double check, but on the DT I don’t believe there are grille shutters. Look under the bumper and you should see an air dam that is retracted. That is what they are using now

Remember, fuel economy is the name of the game nowadays. The transmission shift schedule is programmed to keep the engine RPMs low in order to save fuel, which is why it upshifts so fast. Same goes for when trying to speed up or pass someone while cruising, it will seem unresponsive. The PCM is...
Normal. That is your steering stop. When you turn your wheels lock-to-lock, the knuckle contacting the LCA is what you’re feeling. Absolutely nothing to worry about.
I haven’t seen or heard about this on DT body Rams yet, but we have had a few DS trucks with the same issue. The customers started noticing this would happen after the U05/U07 AutoPark Recall was done.
I finally figured out how to consistently duplicate the problem. And by consistently I mean...
Here’s mine, only mods so far are a Photodon 9HO screen protector and a RetraxPRO MX tonneau cover. Many more to come, looking at a 2”’ Mopar lift and 285/55R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers next, hopefully.
I know you’re frustrated.
A difference in temp between driver and passenger sides is normal because of where the evaporator is, but 5 degrees seems like a pretty wide spread. And I don’t think that turning the blower on high should raise it 7-8 degrees. Tests are done on both center vents, but...
Unfortunately I don’t have any solid input on the poor AC performance. We’ve had a surprisingly few amount of DTs actually come in for repairs, maybe only 2 for the AC issue. As far as I know, there is an HVAC module flash that addresses it. But I do know it only applies to specific build dates...
Lol thanks! We have a good shop. The front half was original to the dealership and has the straight stalls. The back half where I work is angled so it’s easier to move around. Heavy duty and alignment racks are in the back shop on the other side of my stall.

I haven’t owned a 4th Gen but most of my friends do and I have worked on plenty of them. 5th Gens definitely seem to be more refined.
The only reason you should need a PCM flash update is if there is a problem that the update specifically addresses. Dealers used to add warranty lines to...
Sorry you’re having problems with the pano roof. We have been using them for a while, but don’t see many wind noise issues so not a lot of experience with common fixes.
If I were diagnosing it, I would start with searching for any related bulletins or STAR cases. Then a test drive to verify...
Hey all, just got my new DT last month. 4x4 Laramie Sport Appearance Package, Granite Crystal. Absolutely love this truck. Can’t wait to really start modding it out and make it mine.
