TAZER DT for 2019 RAM 1500

Interested in the next group buy

2 new things about my 19' that surprised me...

I just contacted a RAM Agent and they confirmed that it should include the centerline on all trucks, as it is described in the latest version of the Owner's Manual on page 373 (without any stipulation about which models include it or not). They gave me case number 58242419 and told me to bring...

Rebel TRX has been confirmed by FCA as part of their 5 year plan!

The same argument is true for every performance vehicle, so why bother comparing any of them if they are all limited by the exact same restrictions of the malls they inhabit and the babying they undergo? Might as well stop making them altogether, and stick to luxury vehicles with smaller power...

    US Vent Visor For Sale

    Auto high beams are useless

I would rather it be too sensitive and turn off on certain reflective-coated signs, then not be sensitive enough and blind motorcyclists and vehicles with dim headlights. Honestly, I rarely use my high beams anyway, since the low beams are strong enough to give great coverage most of the time...

    Deployable bed step

Holy moly, that doesn’t even sound like the same part any more. Kudos to MoparAmerica for really stepping up, even if it is a little late for some of their customers with missing parts.

Moe's Performance - What am I getting into?

If your main reason for wanting a LSD is due to losing grip when turning, then I strongly advise you reconsider an LSD. LSD’s help with slow speed movement on low traction surfaces or reducing slippage in straight line take offs, but they are known to make turning more swirly and would make...

Should I load up a Laramie to keep the 8" screen or go Limited ?

The Laramie Longhorn has an 8.4" standard, with the 12" optional. The Limited is the one that includes the 12" standard.

Spray on bedliner on rear bumper

I don't like the look (too textured to me for a part that will not provide grip), but I think the durability makes it worth it (especially in the one rare case that the liner prevents debris that would have otherwise damaged that ridiculously expensive sensor). I didn't vote, because I would...

    Deployable bed step

Worth every penny; many people are paying around $250 for the parts alone, then either installing themselves or paying more to have it installed, and not a single complaint on the device with the exception of some aftermarket exhausts needing tweaking to prevent interference. In addition, the...

    Darn server error messages.

I haven't had any issues, but many years ago I used to frequent a forum with terrible timeout lengths. If you took longer than a set time to type your message, then a security token expires and you receive an error when you try to submit; to deal with it, I used to type all my messages in a text...

    Forum software updated

With Sticky Sidebar (on Chrome at least), I am seeing the top of the sidebar stop at the top of the screen, which hides the bottom of the sidebar (when larger than screen height) until you reach the bottom of the page (at which point the page bottom pushes up the sidebar). This is exacerbated...

    Car Thieves key fob hack

I’m not an expert on radio frequencies nor do I know for certain what Ram uses, but I think you are overthinking the entire concept of the fob; I do not think the fob sends a constant signal at all, or else I think the fob battery would die much more quickly by constantly transmitting a signal...

Alexa or Google Home and Uconnect

First off, you only need the following apps (at least for using the 8.4NAV with an iPhone): 1. “Uconnect” for truck functions like remote start and lock just like the website commands (this is the one meant for 2019 5th gens; all others are meant for different vehicles); note that if the website...

UConnect version 20-16 Update Released 11/19/18

The iPhone uconnect app has had the info since I started using it in October:

    Bad fuel mileage 5.7 hemi

As stated, essentially what happens is that in 2WD the axle is disengaged and the front wheels are only connected to the brakes and tie rods (steering wheel); engine never touches it. Engaging 4AUTO binds the front wheels to the front axle so the wheels always drag the axle to turn it (and...

    8.4 with nav updated yesterday

Guardian has never worked for me. I've used the Uconnect app (which is actually SiriusXMGuardian for 2019 Rams) since I picked mine up in late September.

    Heated Steering Wheel

If you want to experience the hottest part, touch the metal bars on the lower steering column piece that connect to the lower part of the steering wheel. I think that is the part that heats and conducts to the rest of the wheel, and that is the one place that burns me on high. The bottom of the...

Who else is waiting for the new tailgate?

I haven't formed an opinion on it yet, mostly because I already have the truck and it can't be retrofitted on so it won't matter to me for at least a few years. However, I will be interested in the real world opinions on it once it gets out into the production trucks, as there isn't anything...

Rebel TRX has been confirmed by FCA as part of their 5 year plan!

...or maybe "very quickly" was meant as a joke in reference to the TRX's speed/horsepower, and not meant to imply any specific release timeframe.
