I had a similar experience, the first engine had a catastrophic failure at 60,099 KM (not miles), and "new engine" less then 2000KM later also blew. They are a hit or miss engine big time...
In terms of pep - my experience has been that the Hemi is WAY quicker in terms of acceleration (very...
I've had the problem again today, and it always happens when I back the truck up. This time I was backing into my driveway (very light slope) and because I backed up to far, I wanted to bring it forward a bit, and nadda, nothing, ziltch - it wouldn't go into drive, until I put it back into...
Not a bad idea for sure. I was thinking of lubricating it with dielectric grease for the connector part and some lithium grease for the switch part. I've had one of these switches on my 1994 pick-up (now used as my little plow truck) since new - it's used for the remote car starter - and it...
Wow this forum totally rocks! I started feeling this clunk when turning right (not all the time), and knowing this information about TSB makes me feel a lot better. I'll be calling the dealer for an appointment tomorrow.
Thanks again to everyone who got this issue documented and resolved!
Yeah, I was really happy when they announced that they chose the Rebel for long term testing. I just hope they'll be honest with their overall experiences... As you say they may have a direct line with FCA - from what I hear, it's a RAM representative that encouraged them to start the TFL Truck...
It will definitely get better... I just started getting into the 18's with mine (~1300 miles now), and that's driving it like a granny. By the way, I know that winter gas has been out for a bit over here, so I'm not anticipating it will get any better than 18 (it will likely decrease drastically...
All I can say is there's a night and day difference between the stiffness of the air ride between the 15' and 19' - 19' being quite a bit stiffer in my experience (but in a good way).
@ptrnfan
I wonder if the other tires on these trucks are also Load E (that's what I have on my Rebel), and that's what I needed on the Ecodiesel too.
One of the main reasons for buying this package was the Tires and Rims - I know that sounds kind of stupid, but here's my logic behind the 18"...
It's very slight in terms of stiffness. A Ram 3/4 rides better than a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 - based on my experience. :) The GMC feels like the suspension hasn't changed in at least 30 years.
Only 1 inch, since it's already 1 inch higher.
That's correct, it's one inch higher in off-road mode, as it already sits 1 inch higher.
I'll have to double check a few things:
I don't think that your Entry mode hits bump stops.
Areo mode doesn't go down much, I believe it is .6 of an inch...
LOL that's a relic! :) Very cool though.
I'm thinking of actually installing this switch this time, with an LED strip. Good write up here: http://www.bodenzord.com/archives/1186
Here's what I bought: with the 16 feet, I'll use maybe 4' for the hood and the rest for my bed. (those prices are in...
I just plan on doing the same thing I had to do on my 2017 Sierra.
Install one of these little mercury tilt switch with a nice light IP68 LED - cheap and does the job just fine.
It definitely breaks-in (based on my experience with the other truck). Although I would assume the stiffer ride may be because of increased payload capabilities. The stiffness is definitely more noticeable than my previous gen, that's for sure.
In the previous gen (my 2015) I once loaded a full...
I wouldn't wish that on anybody that's for sure. I have a grandson (figured out a way to play Paw Patrol this week on the Uconnect 8.4 for him :) ), and we take him everywhere in the truck (in the next couple weeks it'll be Xmas parades, etc...). Hopefully FCA has got their stuff in order for...
