Well... after 4 days of calling and stopping at the dealership I finally got an update. They are ordering an evaporator for my truck and going to replace that to see if it fixes the issue.
Still waiting for anyone to be able to provide an update on what steps will be taken next to fix the truck. @RamCares said they are not able to provide an update. I called the dealer today and stopped by and talked to the service rep. Still waiting for someone to be able to provide an update...
I was at the Toyota dealer the night before I bought my RAM. I regret walking away from the Toyota dealer each day. My RAM is worthless if I sell it now and go get a Toyota. The fuel economy, the 6 speed trans and the dated interior were factors on why I walked away from the Toyota. Never...
I dislike the entire truck. Been to the shop 3 times and is going back a fourth time for the AC issue. @RamCares provides information to help keep me updated but overall for a truck with no license plates on it yet this truck is poor quality.
Update - Dealer replaced Expansion valve per STAR engineering group. Did not resolve issue. Talking about replacing an evaporator next but they want to replace it on another truck and then mine if it fixes the issues. So I need to pick up my truck and then take it back to the dealer for a...
Had to take my truck to the dealer twice for them to do anything and now the new part they want to install is on back order with NO ETA on when it will show up. I guess I just have to laugh at this point.
Dealer now has 2 - 2020 RAM trucks making the same noise. They want to replace the "expansion valve" but the part is on backorder and no ETA on when the part may arrive.
o_O
I have been recording it and sending it to the dealer. They had the first video when I took it in and we watched it together and discussed it. I even discussed the findings from this thread with them. The dealer never even drove it. Mileage in and out of the dealer was the same. They even show...
Update - so the dealer has not been able to recreate the issue and they are not providing any details on what they did or how far they drove it.
Just dropped off my truck that has less than 800 miles on it at the dealership for them to check out this awesome noise from my AC.
This truck...
I don't even have 500 miles on the truck. Compared to my 2006 RAM1500 I just don't care for the direction the truck went. If I could go back I would have rebuilt the trans and engine in my 2006 and kept driving that.
How do I nicely put this... I am not a fan of Texas but currently stuck living there. Guess I need to pop the badge off and get a Big Horn logo.
I would prefer if someone would just remove the truck from my life so I can go get something else. :)
