Opinion: I de-badged my Gen 4 when new. I liked the way it looked, and it made washing the truck that much easier.
Photos: I've only seen de-badged Gen 5's via photoshop.

I'm 57, and I wanted a Longhorn but had to get a Laramie because I needed the bench. Amen to "more room to move the legs." Also went with chrome and two-tone.
I've had rain sensing wipers on five cars--one Buick, two Audis, a Porsche and now the Ram 1500. Of these, the Ram's are the best yet. Although not perfect, I seldom get dry runs, and the speed is generally appropriate for the conditions, from mist to sprinkle to deluge.
Another thing to...
You automatically have brake limited slip with the traction control. For off road I'd recommend 18" wheels. If mpg is a goal, remember that lifts and some options that add lots of weight will impact mileage.
It should be listed on your window sticker. I could be wrong, but the Surround–View Camera is now listed as N/A w/Trailer–Tow Mirrors" as are the folding mirrors.
The Lane Departure feature had to be turned on, which took reading the manual. A little light on the dash glows green (active)...
They even got the name right for the motor, IMHO! This should be an in-demand model as long as they keep the price point within reason. Lots to look forward to with these 5th Gen Rams!
I too drove both before placing my order. I really didn't notice much difference either, although I am sure that when towing, the difference is noticeable. In another post I noted I just returned 21.4 mpg on my last tank with a moderate load.
Just returned from a trip to the cabin (400 miles round trip) and averaged 21.4 mpg for this fuel-up, which was about 500 miles. The truck was about half loaded (weight wise) and had an 8' ladder hanging over the tailgate, which likely increased drag. This is the first time the dash readout...
According to the recall, the issue can be triggered when the car accelerates while operating under cruise control, which it might do in order to maintain its speed while climbing a hill, the company said. This could potentially cause a short circuit.
When that happens, the vehicle can become...

Nice rig. If I ever get rid of my bass boat, I'll get one more like yours. Most of my fishing and boating are on Stockton Lake, which is about 30 miles long. As for the mileage, the difference between 50-55 and 65-70 will be significant--likely around 25-30%. Once your truck is broken in, I...
Interesting observation. On my 2012, my WORST mileage was always towing the side by side. I hauled enclosed motorcycle trailers (14 mpg), utility trailers (14-16 mpg), tractors on a tandem trailer (14 mpg). However, the worst was always hauling the ATV (with roof) in our 12' utility trailer...
Actually, we buy out trucks to make people THINK we tow and haul stuff.
Seriously, I have two reasons. Since I don't tow all the time, I remove the ball and hitch to reduce weight (I keep it with the trailer) and 2) When backing up in a tight "city" parking spot, I don't worry about hitting...
