I'll admit I haven't tried driving it to cancel - that's just what is stated in the manual:
"Tire/Jack Mode – Indicator lamps 5 and 1 will be illuminated. Tire/Jack Mode is disabled by driving the vehicle."
I'll try it on mine tomorrow, by manually entering Tire/Jack Mode, and seeing what...
I can't comment directly, but I did install a set of Amp Powersteps on my previous truck (2009 1500), and I can't imagine it was much different. Overall, the installation went fine, and I was impressed with the quality of both the kit itself, and the instructions. I see the installation is a...
Same here. My truck, built on 11/6, shows no recalls. My previous truck, built on 10/13 (which I refused delivery of due to tow package CF) shows the recall pending.
You can - they come with the Level 1 Equipment Group.
I installed the Amp Research version on my '09 Ram (VERY similar to the current OEM steps) here in northern NJ... been through LOTS of snow and ice with them, and never had them freeze - never had a single problem with them, in fact...
You do not have the trailer tow package. What you have is the standard equipment class IV hitch, and the trailer brake controller (which can be had as a separate option). If you don't have big, goofy-looking mirrors that manually fold in, and manually rotate 90 degrees to stick out even...
Yeah - that makes no sense. A manufacturer identifies a build problem, fixes it going forward, then announces a recall for the trucks that weren't built correctly. They don't identify a current problem, and issue an open-ended recall for all trucks going forward.
And some more info, including build date:
"FCA US LLC is recalling certain 2019 Ram 1500 pickups, to tighten an improperly secured battery ground-circuit fastener. Affected vehicles were built before October 25, 2018, and could lose power steering assist if the ground-circuit fastener becomes...
Just wanted to post this here, in case anyone else goes looking for the source of this message on the EVIC when trying to adjust their air suspension.
I installed some mudflaps, and to make life easier, I put the truck up on the lift (frame lift, so the suspension hung freely). Afterwards, I...
You'll see when you use it, but the act of "closing" the wings forces the rubber bumpers out slightly (it's a cam mechanism), so they "press" into the sides of the bed.
Yes, any lock cylinder can be re-keyed. You simply take it out, remove the tumblers (I believe there's 8 of them), and...
If you lock the extender, you can't turn the handle to release the wings. If you can't release the wings, you can't get the rubber blocks out from the side channels. The extender is effectively "locked" into the bed. Sure, if you yanked it hard enough, it'll probably pop out. But, you can...
Yes. I had a leak develop in my oil pan gasket on a '99 Dodge Ram. The service writer said, "that'll be $187". I said, "no, that should be covered under warranty". He replied, "normally, it would be, but since you put a lift kit on the truck, the warranty is void". I said, "that would be...
On Laramie (and presumably Longhorn) trim, as well. My truck has that feature. Like you, I disabled them, as I'm not 4'8" tall, and it seemed they tilted down way too much.
I initially ordered my truck back in July, but it wasn't built until early October. Right around that time, I found this forum, and learned of my horrendous mistake (having been a long-time Dodge/Ram owner, I was conditioned into always ordering the tow package, as that got you the factory...
