The fix is to go to your local dealer and have the bed step replaced with 82215289AG. They may need to order one for you. Make sure you mention Recall V93. If it is installed on truck, dealer will install it. If it is in the box, they will exchange it. This only applies if you have the Mopar...
The problem with updating a module is FCA will not pay for it unless there is a direct complaint. If the dealer updates the module, he will not be paid to do it without a direct complaint. FCA trys to claim you may create a problem. That is bull, because every vehicle sold comes with the latest...
I don't think this is a quality control issue at all. I suspect no one tested the truck in a rear end crash with the AB version. Probably there was an accident and then the issue appeared. As I stated before, the AB version is cast iron. The newer version appears to be stamped steel. The cast...
This is the Mopar accessory part number kit everyone added on after the fact. The trucks that were sold with a step from the factory is a different part number. I don't know how dealers are suppose to track every sale down as a lot of times they are cash transactions with no name on the counter...
Most likely that is because even with a new rf hub, unless you are connected to witech, you can't do it. Witech needs to connect to the truck while doing a rf hub replace. Only if you have techauthority or witech available and connected to the truck when you do the rf hub replace procedure using...
Yes, you turn the torx screw counter clockwise to move the sliding plate forward. Just pull on the cap while turning the screw until the cap comes off. The remove the handle.
The flash and tsb came out on August 29, 2019 which is revision C. You probably have 1828 installed. Hopefully the newest flash fixes your issue. I know for fact it fits 8.4 non nav. Not sure about 8.4 with nav.
Which radio do you have. There is a new flash out for the radio depending what you have. Version 1848.24 Suppose to address this. Unless you already have this software installed. This is not on the public Uconnect site yet but the dealer should have it
Send me your VIN. I will see if I can get you a pin code. Only good for a short time. Use AlfaOBD for RF Hub reset and see if it works. Make sure your bcm has the passive entry added. Your used key will probably not program but the RF Hub reset should read the bcm and activate the passive entry...
You can generally add up to 8 key fobs to a rf hub. Your original keys are programmed to your vin. If you add a key fob, it is required to use witech. The tech needs to obtain a pin code from parts department. He can then add the key fob as long as it is new and blank. A Fob is Vin locked to the...
I suspect a rf hub reset or a rf hub replace procedure will make this work. May need to try both to see if it works. RF hub replace is generally only done upon replacing the RF hub, but in this case it may be necessary to get the RF hub to read the bcm. Make sure you have all your key fobs with...
That is a good question. But post 31 pretty much explains it. The salesman followed the exact info as posted in #31. It states clearly it has HD radio. But it is wrong.
My biggest issue is the 8.4 non nav radio is supposed to have HD radio. It does not. All the specs posted when I ordered my truck show that it does. Very deceptive. I listen to one specific HD channel in my area on my wifes vehicle and I can not do that in my new truck. I am forced to try and...
I was under the impression that you had 2 extra wires along with the 2 wires for the passive entry. I must have misunderstood. I knew your truck did not have a tweeter, but I thought the harness you bought may have had the extra wires for the tweeter which you would not need anyway. Hoping you...
The sense and return are in 2 different plugs in the double door plug for the handle. The speaker tweeter could be the extra wires. The door handle I think is using pin 17 of the brown plug and pin 11 of the natural color plug. Pin 11 is in the dead center of the natural plug.
Will not unlock. When the handle is in the closed position, the circuit to the rf hub senses the magnet. As you pull the handle open, the sensor in the handle sensess the change in the magnetic field. Thats how the RF hub knows you pulled the handle. The botton on the handle to lock the door is...
